Seiko SGGA19 wrist watches news:
In case you've ever wondered what an Hublot watch would look like on a 104 year old man, this is it. This chap is famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and he has been fortunate to not only live a very long time, but also have a very accomplished career behind him. For us Americans, he most notably architected the United Nations building in New York City.Hublot now honors him with a watch. See a video that Hublot made presenting the watch to him here. Actually, Hublot has a dual reason for making this watch. The piece is also in honor of Brazil - a country Hublot has been keen to keep popularity high with. And why Brazil now? Well the FIFA World Cup for 2014 is coming to Brasilia, Brazil and Hublot also happens to have a relationship the kings of soccer. My interest is more with Niemeyer however. I still think it is very interesting to see him wearing a futuristic Big Bang Aero Bang watch in tantalum with a dial in black accented with the yellow and green colors of the Brazilian fla
This bad boy finally came last night. Just now I was messing with the watch and I found out that the outer rim of the watch where it says " prof divers 300m" can unscrew. Is this the way it is made? if so, what would be the significance of this feature? Thanks,Ryan
i have a replica, kinetic watch. it is a self winding watch with date, month, day of the week and 24 hr time aswell in smaller dials. the other day i was setting the time because it stopped as usual but i heard a click, felt some resistance and now to crown wont change the time or the date. it just spins with nothing happening. When i give the watch a shake to get it running, the seconds hand just ticks back and forth in the same place not moving forward. the backplate is glass so you can see the wheel spinning, it spins only for a few seconds then stops. it stops immediately if i knock the watch slightly.please help,i bought it abroad and there is no proper watch shop where i stay. Is there a way i can fix it myself, i have all the tools. i really love this watch it was one of my favourites, would really appreciate a reply.thanks in advance
Here is a shot of a Vacheron movement from my overseasHere is a shot of the movement in my Patek
I tried a search, with no success. This may be an old question.I am reading on the new 8500/8501 movements, and the Omega in power people are saying they plan on putting this movement in all their watches, soon. Does anyone out there know much about this movement. Is it worth waiting for? The key quality, for me, was it needs very little maintenance. I have also read recently, that watch machanics are getting dangerously low. It will become difficult to get you quaility automatic serviced. jdsons (Julian)PS. I am getting most my information out of Watchtime magazine's, Omega special.
