Seiko SXA122 wrist watches news:
Hi All, Im brand new to the forum and have owned my B2 for around 4 years now and am really happy with it. It took me a long time to find an all brushed case and bracelet that I liked. It has a real nice contrast between the brushed case and bracelet and the polished edge of the bezel. On a sunny day it looks great. I think this model has been discontinued, I don't know if thats good or bad for me but I guess i'm lucky to have found one I really like. I just thought I would share some pics with you all
Another cheap eBay find. This one came in a lot of 4. Unfortunately, it doesn't work and this was the one of the 4 I really wanted.I put in a new battery thinking that's all it needed and no go. However, when I removed the back I noticed it had a jeweled movement. Of all the quartz watches I have, I've never seen a jeweled quartz movement. Although, I still don't know much about watches.I figured this may be one worth getting repaired so I took it to my local watchmaker for an estimate. He confirmed that this was a very nice movement and they don't make quartz watches like this anymore. He dated it around early 80's (a guesstimate). He said he put a battery in and it "stepped" for him (I don't know what that means in watchmaker terms), so it does work, but basically just needs a typical servicing, along with the back case gasket which was torn, and it will be good to go. Final cost: $114. The watch guy said it is well worth it and that you can't buy a quartz watch of this quality these
Hi guys,I know it is an old topic but back then when it was discussed the 5170 hadn't hit the stores. Which of these 2 chronos would be your choice the 5170J or 5960R (new white dial)?Thank you!
Love blue dials and the last missing puzzle just arrived.FPJ CB finally arrived in the house... man it was a hard search but so worth it
Just like Rolex allows any SS Skydweller dial to be specially ordered on a WG model...ala the Blue WG Skydweller seen on one of our TFS site, I was in Las Vegas last weekend and saw a PT DD40 with Anniversary Green Olive dial.I believe that you can special order any PT DD40 with any WG dial you want..including the 60th anniversary Olive dial.It was stunning. It had the non-fluted bezel so I am not sure if the play with the deconstructed romans and the light was less or different than the play between the WG version with the fluted bezel.....but as good as it looks in WG.....that olive dial on the that cold frosted white platinum metal....incredible....If I were to get a PT watch, I always assumed it would be with glacier blue dial but the olive and PT looks absolutely amazing.
