How much on average would it cost to have a watch case re plated? Is there anyone on the forum that does it ? Andy
Hi guys, I was hoping someone might be able to help me find some info on this watch. So far the information I¡¯ve been able to dig up is that it¡¯s a Heuer that purchased in mid-April of 1977. It also appears to have a manual winding 28,800 vph movement, although I have no idea what caliber it is. Most of these Heuer Calculator¡¯s were apparently produced with an automatic movement; however I can confirm that this watch is not self winding. I believe I found a post claiming that they only made ~750 units worldwide with this mechanical movement which I suppose would make it pretty rare. The other thing I was able to find was an etched number (which I suppose is the model #) between the lugs at 6 o¡¯clock position. As far as I can tell this number reads, ¡°740 633¡±. I suppose I¡¯d like to find out if this watch is as rare as it appears to be and possibly what something in this shape would sell for? I¡¯d appreciate any comments/information that anyone can provide. I¡¯ve always found this forum to
Good time to buy a watch in the UK if you're an overseas buyer. Prices are down 10+% thanks to Brexit. Well prices are not down but the GBP is down sufficiently to make this an attractive proposition! Anyone else thinking of a quick trip to the UK to buy a watch?Wonder if Patek ADs will immediately adjust prices overnight.
