- This is a great timepiece. The watch itself is great, and although at first I thought I wouldn't like the band (rubber), it actually complements the watch quite nicely.

Seiko SSA243 wrist watches news:
At Baselworld 2013, everyone's favorite quietly badass independent, Laurent Ferrier, introduced the Galet Traveller, a two-timezone take on his expertly finished, double-impulse, natural-escapement-powered Galet Micro-Rotor. Since then, the Galet and Galet Traveller (and Galet Square) have become something of the thinking man's high-end time-only watch, seen them on the wrists of a handful of very interesting folks. Today, however, we've found something even more special – the very first Galet Traveller ever made, in stainless steel, with a prototype movement, belonging to the former CEO of Laurent Ferrier. And it's for sale. 1 OF 10 While LF has started to make more watches in stainless steel – the Galet Square comes in steel and they've recently announced a steel Galet MR for a French retailer – a steel-case Galet Traveller has never before been seen. These prototype cases in steel were just that – prototypes, never really mea
So what is the lowdown on crowns and dials? I've heard that Hamilton signed their crowns before 1950. True? I tend to think this isn't true because I see a ton of pre 1950 watches with unsigned crowns. Bottom line I guess isdoes a replacement crown greatly effect the value of the watch and how can I tell if it's a replacement? I've been matching up pictures but sometimes I still can't tell. Same with dials. Does an exceptional dial indicate a re-dial most likely? How can I tell if a watch has been re-dialed and does it matter? Thanks. Everyone have a good day.

I wanted to get some feedback this time. Last year a picked up a 5164, a 5712G, and a 5980R on leather. I ended up trading them all before the end of the year. This year I added back a 5711r, a 5980-1ar and a 5712. I just traded the all rose 5980 last week as I could not get it to fit me correctly. I tried everything as someone else has recently posted. I felt that the watch was too top heavy and uneven compared to the 5711r and the 5712, which fit me perfectly. That being said, I already miss the 5980 (yet again), but I am honestly not sure I can wear the watch. I have missed my 5164 since the day I traded it and am debating adding the 5164r, or again the 5980-1ar. I know I love the 5980, but I am not sure it is practical when I have the platona, RM11's x3, dato, and other chronos in my collection. So I am looking for advice, I don't want to hear: well it sounds like you have your mind made up, because I haven't and I could add both. Fiscally, I feel like adding both is also not a
