A Few Questions About a Khaki King Automatic
My first Hamilton watch is under the tree - my wife is making me wait for it. It's a Khaki King Auto (H64455133) with a metal bracelet that she won in an ebay auction (Hamilton Khaki King Automatic H64455133 | 40mm SS | NEW - eBay (item 270676114465 end time Dec-13-10 13:00:00 PST)). I wanted to ask this user community a couple of questions:1) Does anyone here have experience with the ebay seller "Count Shop" (are the reputable, etc.)?2) I'm assuming that an authorized dealer can tell me if it's authentic, but in the meantime, is there anything thing that I can look for to see if it's a replica?2) If I want to do so, can the metal bracelet on the H64455133 be replace with a leather band?Thanks for any help that any of you might be able to provide.Cheers!Randy

BLACK Elgin Trench Watch, Restored to US Army Specifications
97 years ago this week on October 24, 1916 the United States Army revised the general specification for wrist watches from the original November 3, 1914 version. The revised specification required that all wrist watches cases were to be painted black, along with the crown and strap buckle. Another change was made to the general specification sometime in 1917 probably. In mid-1918 another revision was made requiring that the dial of the watch be black in color as well but this document has been lost in time so you are just going to have to take my word on this one. According to the National Archives in Washington DC which include the records of the Quartermaster General, the records of the Adjutant General and the records of the Chief Quartermaster General of the American Expeditionary Forces during the Great War the general specification for wrist watches documents no longer exist. AD recommendation on Breitling.
Hi guys, if any of you Breiting owners can recommend me a nice AD that is open to discounts I would appreciate it. I have never bought a Breitling and im unfamiliar with the flexibility off of there msrp. 10%? 20%? 30%? Any info would be great. I am interested in a Chorno Avenger or a Super Chrono Avenger. How much should i expect to pay? Any info is great actually. Is it a good watch/bad watch etc... My friend is serious about this watch. He asked me for some advice and sadly the only thing i could suggest was to purchase either a TT Annivesary GMT or Panerai. Any help would be great guys, thanks in advance
