Hello gentleman, what is your opinion of this orient watch?DISK | STYLISH AND SMART / ER02005B | ORIENT WATCHI've seen it for as much as $300 some places but I wouldn't be paying that much for it.
Hi!I had a friend visit me last night and I had no idea he was into his watches. (He moved away years ago and it was a surprise visit)It was only when I looked at his wrist and saw a Royal Oak Offshore that we started talking about watches. I think it's a Vampire, does anyone here know anymore about this or have one? I tried it on and surprisingly I really liked the way it looked on wrist a lot. I don't have any out and out sports watch like that and always dismissed them before as being too brash. There seems to be endless variations of the watch, it's the black face with red markers that do it for me.
OK, you all know the story. We are a special breed, WIS.Currently I have a Seiko Marinemaster300, a Bremont Supermarine500 (unworn) and funds stashed away for a ceramic Sub. I want an AP ROO Diver in the worst way!!! I do not have the means to add one to my collection. I'd have to sell off everything and be down to just the AP. I have had the diver on and it is an amazing piece, but I'd like to hear from AP owners and AP ROO Diver owners. Is it worth selling off everything to fund one??? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Finally, I got my Seamaster back in my hands. It belonged to my late father and wasn't running, had a cracked crystal and missing stem and crown, not to mention the degraded dial due to moisture from the stem tube being open. I think the decision to get it re-dialed and in black was a good one (I'm not selling it, so re-sale wasn't a consideration) even though it is a big no-no in the purist community. Plus, black and gold is an incredible combination, along with a new black leather strap. Now the bad. There is a piece of lint and some specs of dirt trapped under the crystal. Some visible with the nekked eye. The stem was rubbing against the case and binding, so I had to bend it to take out the wobble. He used a cheap, generic gold tone crown (watch is solid 14K). He buffed out the hands and didn't re-lume it, so It doesn't match the re-lume of the dial (was expecting new hands!). It loses 30 secs / day. So, to say the least, it was a sloppy job all around. He couldn't eve
