- i love the watch...all it's functions, it's also reliable...great size for my wrist.BUT...the plastic casing around the watch face overstretches and comes apart. Eventually the band breaks at the casing.

- Had bought this watch as a gift, upon trying it felt like keeping it for myself. For medium wrists like mine, this sleeky-er piece was so nicer.

Seiko SSC285 wrist watches news:
watches-dealer recently celebrated a milestone of reaching over 100,000 comments. We are more than several thousand comments over that at this point, but it was a big deal for us, since having a vibrant community of like-minded watch enthusiast individuals helps fuel our passion for what we do here at the site.In a lot of ways, we have no right to pat ourselves on the back for reaching this volume of comments. That is an honor most properly reserved for the community itself. It is true that we spend a lot of time and effort producing watch blog content for people to hopefully enjoy, but the audience who frequents watches-dealer also dedicated their time and attention - which makes all this possible. So with that said, for 100,000 comments, we wanted to do something special for the watches-dealer audience community. What we decided to do is identify the top 10 watches-dealer commenters (as measured by number of total comments) and do something special for them as a thank you for being p
Last night saw the premiere of Mad Men season 6, and not only was there some awesome vintage Leica-love, but also a spotlight on Don's now water-logged wristwatch in the first five minutes! We've gone in-depth with the watches of Mad Men before, courtesy of the man who sourced them, but it's also nice to see Mr. Draper himself sporting his now trademark 1966 Omega Seamaster on the cover of this month's Rolling Stone. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Possibly looking at a Seamaster Pro (black dial) tomorrow. I don't have the model # right now. Are there any models/movements to stay away from. I thought Omega had a problem with some of their movements but can't remember which one. Any and all help is much appreciated, I don't want to spent my hard earned cash on something that is going to give me problems down the road.
Hi everyone :) I'm Pep¨¦After a couple of decades of not owning a watch, I've just received my first Invicta today (with 2 more on the way thanks to ShopNBC...lol). But I clearly have the wrist size of a 10 year old girl, so I need advice on re-sizing my watch band. I know nothing about this, so should I take it to a jeweler or is it simple enough to do on my own? If I am to do it, are there any instructiona/videos online? Thanks for any advice. I'm excited to start wearing watches again!!!My first watch is a Python Sport Quartz ChronographWatchBand.jpg
yes, i know what you're thinking! this must be in the wrong forum, if not the wrong website!!! but seriously, did you know that fashion designers charge 10 to 12 times the material [edit] value of their handbags? makes me wonder just how big this over-valuation is on certain high end watches???
