TAG Heuer WAV511B.BA0900 wrist watches news:
Modding a watch can be addictive. If you are a creative type, finding just the right parts to make your very own perfect watch can be an interesting journey.?As we've covered in the past, the Seiko SKX007/009 dive watch has the most aftermarket products available for modification. But what's fun is checking out the world of watch hobbyists and small companies that produce very specific parts for very specific watches.Suppa PartsLet's take the Citizen BJ8050-08E, nicknamed the "Ecozilla." This tank-like solar-powered dive watch has a proprietary strap and lug attachment that makes sense from a functional standpoint, but limits collectors' ability to use straps with standard width ends. In comes Suppa Parts, a co-brand of Stevral/Raven/Benarus, which makes an adapter to fit the Ecozilla and its automatic counterpart the NH6930-09F (the "Autozilla"), so they can use standard 24 mm straps. This opens up opportunities for Zilla lovers to use any leather, steel or nylon bands to secure their
Last night at Tribeca Cinemas in New York City, we were proud to attend the NY premiere of David Armstrong's The Watchmaker's Apprentice. The documentary film, shot in very last days of master watchmaker George Daniels' life, goes on to tells us not only of Daniels' contributions to horology, but also his relationship with his one and only true apprentice – Mr. Roger Smith. We'll have a recap of last night's events shortly, but first, we wanted to tell you what Roger Smith, arguably one of the finest watchmakers alive, was wearing. It might surprise you. 1 OF 1 One might assume Mr. Smith would be wearing one of his own watches – maybe a Series 2 or a Daniels Anniversary watch? Not so. You see, Mr. Smith's workshop of eight people (himself plus seven watchmakers) produces just 10 watches per year. Ten. So, if he were to take one piece of the production out for himself, that would limit his profitability by 10% and he simply can'
Wore this baby over the weekend and must say Rolex definetly got this one right. The most comfortable Rolex I've worn. We all complain how Rolex have increased their prices but when you wear one of their latest offerings, you can see and feel the improvements they've made and I don't mind paying a bit more for these upgrades. The improved bracelet, clasp and the fact that they left the watch at a sensible 40mm with a 20mm tapering bracelet, is just plain common sense to me! However, the GMT is not the most comfortable watch I've ever worn. This one is. Period! OK, its 36mm diameter but the bracelet is just superb!
Bought my first over the weekend and it should be delivered any minute. PAM112. Very excited to add this to the collection!
I’ll try to keep it brief ladies and gentlemen.I’m blown away by this strap. It’s really changed the Black Bay game for several reasons.First off the quality, fit and finish is superb. The integration and tolerances are perfect. It’s also the most comfortable way I’ve ever worn my black bay, and if you know me, you know I like to tinker with my watches. So I’ve worn my BB on multiple rubber straps, leather, NATO and OEM bracelet. The OEM bracelet looks great, but I’m between links and could never get a truly comfortable fit. The strap versatility on the black bay has always been a huge positive. However, the case height is an issue for me. It wears well because of the flat case back, but the lug holes are in a terrible location for the appearance of traditional strap wear. Wearing a strap exposes a huge gap as well as the entire wall of the case, which is tall and frankly unsightly IMO.This integrated Everest Band solves all those proble
