A. Lange & Sohne 140.035 wrist watches news:
For 2012 Omega returns to its tradition of offering very cool high-tech quartz pilot watches. The Z-33 is of course offered in honor of the famed Speedmaster X-33 from several years ago. Limited in production, the X-33 is now a highly lusted after collector's item. While a new watch, the Spacemaster Z-33 is produced in honor of some very important historic Omega watches.More images will come soon, but for now you can see that the most iconic aspect of the Z-33 is the case. This is the same case design as the original Speedmaster Alaska Project watch. It was a Speedmaster designed to survive extreme cold temperatures (such as those on Mars). The version of the Alaska project watch with this case I don't think was ever produced. Though it did exist and it is very cool. The case later showed up on the Omega Flightmaster watches.I also believe that it was the first watch case made out of titanium. It is thus fitting that the new Spacemaster Z-33 watch case is also in titanium. I will offer
Advice from a certain watch companies websiteWell don't put it on the topside of the crystal then! Even used the word "Sensitive" to describe it!Luckily I own two watches from this company without AR Coating! Ha!
I searched for the answer for this on the forums but let me quickly ask...I just bought a 116610LN which as made me realize that a quality watch is worth every penny. I have always admired the speedmaster moonwatch and am planning on making it my next, but I am wondering if the Hesalite crystal is OK vs Sapphire?I hear it scratches easily and in fact the couple of places I have gone to check it out have only carried the sapphire version. I am not needing to be technically correct with my upcoming speedy but if the Hesalite crystal is considered OK then might has well stay faithful. Thanks in advance for any and all thoughts!
Shopping for my first Rolex and initially these two models weren't even on my radar, I'd been really focused on a vintage 1601/1603 for that classic look. However, the more I've researched and thought about it I'm finding that either of these could be a really great starter piece that I'd probably get more use out of. Considering I'm a youngish guy (mid-30's) I've had multiple people say that a sportier look would be better on me and easier to dress up or down. The 16570 seems to be much more common and appreciated and I like its more toned down look. Meanwhile the 116264 had a more limited production and doesn't get discussed much, but there's something about the sport bezel on the TOG dial with red date wheel and sec hand that gives it a best of both worlds quality that's really appealing. I've also heard the 16570 will likely hold its value better while the 116264 may not since people seem to have a love/hate reaction to it.I could easily flip a coin and be happy with either, but
Not sure I like it 100%. Any suggestions for the yacht-master on straps. Doesn¡¯t matter what kind of strap, I would like to see what everyone has Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
