Traditional but not...
I've been wanting a pocket watch that is not plated and not precious metal, but stainless steel. Though Tissot makes more than a few pocket watches, so far as I have been able to determine, it makes only one in stainless steel - others are either solid silver or gold or plated with either rhodium or gold. My AD had one of the stainless models, and it didn't bother me that it has a quartz movement. The case has a brushed finish front and back, very plain, and a traditional dial and hands. I like it and think it will be my go-to pocket piece. Plus, the dealer made the price right. So here it is.

speedster- the original? the new original? no bling?
I have followed the posts here for a while being largely unfamiliar with the Omega line but having some familiarity with the speedster. I have noticed that the 3570.50 of the current speedster line seems to be the one Omega that many if not most consider the current iconic model. there is also the same model (saphire sandwich) with the clear back case and brownish dial. what I have found interesting is that the special speedsters such as the anniversary models seem to have little following. they seem to be actually less desirable, at least from my observation. Can anyone comment on this. If I am accurate, there is a solid focus on being as close to the original moon watch as possible even if it is not one of the original models/movements.

Hi All. Looking to pick up another Patek. This one quite different from the 5524 recently acquired. Just wondering everybody¡¯s thoughts on having this reference alongside a yellow gold, DD 40 silver motif dial. Keep in mind.... casual dress 99% of the time¡­ Jeans, polos, Chino¡¯s, leather penny loafers, etc.¡­ All thoughts and opinions are appreciated¡­ Thank you
