Seiko SUT074 wrist watches news:
Remember the Chinese watch maker Longio? I talked about them here when discussing their first tourbillon watches. I applauded the Hong Kong based watch maker for having the courage to thrust itself in the tourbillon watch market that is dominated by European watch companies that have the process down pretty well. China's strength is in ingenuity and keeping costs low. The highly sought after tourbillon complication could be had from Longio at a fraction of what the European makers charge. Not that Chinese tourbillon watches are a replacement for the Europeans, but it is was certainly a knock on the door of the stalwart giants. Now comes Longio's second tourbillon watch, the yet to be properly named 1000m Diving Tourbillon. Diver tourbillon watches aren't new, but this combination of 1000m water resistant case, sporty looks, and cost of about $8,000 simply cannot be found in any European watch for double, triple, or even quadruple the cost. In fact most European diving tourbillon watches
Here is a great watch for those who like a something that is highly functional and will turn heads. This watch certainly gets that "Let me see that" gawk from most people, yet it is deceptively simple. The history of watches and gauges are closely related. Both are measuring instruments which require legibility and precision. Although watches are mobile while gauges are usually relatively stationary.I am actually surprised that more watches do not take that approach that Azimuth Watch Company took with the Mecha series. The idea is to separate the various time indications in to their respective windows. Watches have been attempting to deviate from the standard watch shape for a long time. One good example are "jumping hours" watches. On these watches, the hour indicator is actually a digital indicator of what the hour is, and the minutes are still represented in the circular fashion with a hand. This concept potentially makes reading what time it is much faster, because you care able t
I am contemplating a used AP ROC which has a certificate stamp of June 2013. I believe a 3rd year warranty is available. Does this apply to a second owner? What is the process? How much does this usually cost?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi Folks,Wondering if parts from all the omega calibers' are gold plated. I was looking at the product technical sheet for the Seamaster 300 (that uses the Caliber 2500), but didn't suggest any gold plating or engraving. If not gold, what's the yellow substance on the parts of the caliber 2500 (see attached pic)? Thanks,A
I just got into watches in the last few years and got my first Rolex last Christmas, GMT II Coke. I love the watch and wear it every day. From a financial perspective it represents a significant decision conversation, but not a stress on our finances if i keep it to one watch a year. My wife is now suggesting I get two more Rolexes before adding other ※off brand§ pieces as she would like me to hold a Rolex a piece for each of my 3 young sons. The idea being they would be given as gifts at a significant yet to be chosen milestone. If left to my own accord I would probably branch out of Rolex for my next few pieces but the wife has a thing in her head about them all being Rolex#I can live with that. Given the charge to find 2 more watches that I can use for the next 20 years and also hand down to the next generation, what would you suggest? I really love the sport watches, but I don*t see anything I like more than my current GMT. My current thinking is to add a traditional 2tone D
