......and the Cosmos giveth ........it had been a slow weekend at the flea market ......then ....this afternoon, at about 4 o'clock , guy came up and was looking at the watches ...he likes a few of them .....but he really want MY watch .....I love that watch, .....and he also liked this one , the Wittnauer on the far right .....Now I was prepared to sell the Wittnauer, I WANTED to sell the Wittnauer.......but after telling him 5 times that my watch was not for sale and wouldn't he like the Benrus knotted lugs watch instead ......he was holding the Wittnauer in his hand and he said ....."I'd like to make you and offer" ....What about if I give you 250 for both the watches ....." .....I thought, ....hadn't done very well ....at all, so I agreed .....and it gave me quite a pang to let that sweet watch go ....it really did....................................and then, just a couple of minutes after he left with MY watch .....*sob* ......another guy walked up and he had been there earlier te

Hello everyone. Looking for advice on buying a watch for myself in the $100-150 price range (college kid best I can do lol) I got two specifics as to what I like in a watch: Leather bands only, numbers not a big fan of just dashes. I have been looking on Amazon at watches don't know if that's a good place to shop, advice on that? now I will post some pictures so y'all can see what I like. New Sea Shark Inbound.
Just spoke with Fred Amos earlier today (wonderful guy BTW) who has been having a sale on the Sea Sharks for a while now and at $199 seemed too hard to continue to let it slip by. I had long looked at his Binnacle but never could get over the fact it was a mere 39mm. The Sea Shark seems similar to Invicta in that it offers so much for so little. Automatic, solid bracelet with screws and SEL's, sapphire crystal, 200m resistance, unique styling, and the ability to contact the owner of the company is priceless (unlike Invicta, lol). I really like the styling on this one, the dial and sculpted lugs a la Omega really drew me to it. So, by selling a Victorinox and a G-Shock I sent my payment to Mr. Amos. And low and behold, guess what number he had available?? 007 of all numbers he still had. Oh, I've not said which color I got, well I'll give two guesses, and no, it isn't gray. Fred is getting to leave for India for 3 weeks so I thought I'd better order now, and he said he'd ship tomo
