In a previous thread of yours I read that you where playing with the idea of getting yourself ''another'' Pepsi GMT II..right?, right!I know why you sold it, and I would have done the same thing..But the good ole Pespi always smiled at you, didn't it?C'mon John, don't you hear it calling your name??:D:D:D:DA great classic...You ''need'' one...And what a great gift for your son in a few years...;)
Dinner with Mr. Larry Pettinelli, President of Patek Philippe North America (HSWA)Just over a week ago I was fortunate to be invited by my Patek Philippe AD to a wonderful dinner where the guest of honor was Mr. Larry Pettinelli, President of Patek Philippe North America (HSWA).Also present was Samantha Woods, who is in charge of marketing and advertising.Driving down to see my favorite Patek Philippe AD.. It's getting late....gotta 'step on the gas' ;)Almost 3 hour drive after I left the office earlier, but I made it with almost 15 minutes to spareAs you can see, my AD's selection that was setup in a local Beach Club was spectacular (I have personallynever seen that many Patek watches in any AD before .....70+ pieces !!)Many perpetual and annual calendars, gondolos, Clatravas, great ladies selection, some popular pieces such as 5135, 5146,all 4 5130a, 5712s, 5711, 5167, 5960P.....but the 5070P was the crown jewel and it just had to go on my wrist to betried out. What was pretty remark
My new arrival came today!! (Well, new to me. It is pre-loved.) It looks fantastic!!! I just love white faced divers. The combine a classy look with the rugged looks of a diver. This one feels great on my wrist, nice and solid with good weight whilst not being heavy. It is very legible and the lume is great - I even noticed it during the day!! The bracelet is a touch long, I will adjust it soon, but it fits quite well out of the box, luckily for me! Here are some quick pics that I took this morning. I hope to take some more soon. Maybe some group shots with my other Seikos as well. The last one is one I snaffled off the web while I was looking for a good one to buy.
No...I didn't drop something in my cup of tea.. This stretch band was deceptively clean on the outside.. but between the links was lurking the filthiest disgusting crud I've ever seen on a watchband.........The next step is a soak in rubbing alcohol!
With brands like Rolex, Breitling, Omega and even Patek Philippe being sold in high end retail stores like Mayors and Tourneau if you have great credit you are able to finance your purchase at little to no interest. Financially speaking why not use 0-5% interest on a $10k-$45k purchase for 24 to 60mnths. Even in this economy I am able to do a few % better in the market if I hold on to the cash and get a bit of return. So paying in full would be a bit foolish IMHO. I am considering buying my first AP and just was curious to see if there is a way to finance AP? Ps. I know I can put it on my Amex platinum or visa Citi 0%interest free card for 18mnths lol.. but that wouldn't be route I am inquiring about. I see a lot of guys on here with really nice APs some costing more the $30k+ just wanted to ask the question of how to acquire the brand? Ap is not in the high end stores listed above, they are in the smaller boutiques that don't have lines of credit systems available. You can finance
