One of the rarest and most interesting IWC watches of the last few decades is one that a lot of newer IWC clients and fans might not even have heard of: the long out-of-production reference 3705, ceramic cased “Fliegerchronograph” or Pilot’s Chronograph. The Fliegerchronograph was first introduced by IWC in 1994 (a follow-on from an almost completely forgotten hybrid quartz-mechanical watch, the 36 mm “Pilot’s Watch Chronograph,” which debuted at the Dübendorf Airfield, near Zurich, all the way back in 1988). The ceramic cased "Fliegerchronograph Keramik" 3705 was introduced in the same year as the standard stainless steel version, reference 3706. Any opinion about the 5140P being phased out?
Personally, I really like the 5140P; especially the dark grey sunburst 017 dial. I was actually seriously thinking about acquiring one, as my FIRST PP. And now, I hear it's on the executioner's list. Is this a good thing or bad thing? I was just wondering what the general consensus is on this model.

Is it already known when/where the next Patek Philippe fair with limited edition watches is taking place? Or perhaps other special pieces like in the 175th anniversary collection.

Hi all,As some know I sold my 5712 because I needed some money to make a great investment, but God I miss it, I thought that one day when I can I might add money and flip my AP to get a RM, 035-01 probably, but I realize that no I MUST get a 5712 some day, it's just the most awesome everyday watch for me, so no regrets having sold it, it was for a very goo purpose, but getting one back is mandatory and I won't get any new watch before I got it back, don't intend to flip my AP either, I love it and want to be like I was before, the AP and the PP, and if on top of that I can one day add the RM I will be the happiest guy in the world, in the foreseeable future I will probably have the funds for the watch sector in about 1 year, there are still great investments to be made and I consider investing in things that will give me a comfortable retirement more important than having my PP back at the moment, as long as I have at least 1 cool watch I'm ok with that, but to be honest when I see a 5

Polished my Bluesy with Cape Cod tonight
This stuff is awesome! It took out the entire years worth of wear, micro scratches, and general dullness of the gold and stainless in about 1 hour of work including masking the brushed sections. I wasn¡¯t entirely happy with the rush job polish Beckertime did on the watch when I got it. Lots of directional scratches in the polish on the sides of the bracelet links and some on the case. All of those are gone and it looks better than when I got it. I used a dry silver polish cloth on the top of the bezel to polish the gold though to avoid wetting the bezel insert with mineral spirits. Also avoided polishing the brushed sides of the bezel. I re brushed those last year after finding some spots had been hit during the original lazy polish job.This Cape Cod polish is interesting. It appears to be an abrasive cloth with a mineral spirit base. I don¡¯t think there¡¯s any ¡°compound¡± left exactly after polish.
