Rolex at the tennis
G'day all, just got back from leave and want to share a great experience with you that my wife Tracey and I had as guests of Rolex at the Australian Tennis Open.I bought a LV Sub last year and was surprised when I got a phone call from the dealer in December inviting Trace and I to dinner at the tennis followed by the night session on day 1.The day finally came around and we drove to the AD, got on the mini bus with about 10 other lucky Rolex customers and set off for Rod Laver Arena.Straight to the Rolex Marquee for drinks, a lovely dinner and some great conversation. There were reps on each table from Rolex Aust and I enjoyed talking Rolex history etc etc. Absolute surperb hosts.We were all given a bag of goodies to take home. Each bag had a calender, 2 catalogs, shirt, cap and tennis balls! I was rapt as I like to collect Rolex nic-nacs. See pics below.We then walked over to the arena and sat in court-side seats - very front row- and watched 2 good tennis matches.We had a great ni

Wanted suggestions of a 1965 Omega that I can acquire
I was reading several posts and I saw reference by someone to having a watch from the year of his birth. The more I thought about it, the more I became intrigued by the idea. So I am in search of an Omega watch from 1965. I've been thinking of perhaps gold with a leather strap or some sort of Speedmaster (sport not dress). I'm willing to put some decent money into it but I'm not sure how much. I've looked at and passed on a ROLEX GMT MASTER CHRONO STAINLESS STEEL priced at about $7500 (interesting watch) and a Patek Phillipe at about $5600. I'm somewhat drawn to an Omega at about $1600 but haven't pulled the trigger.I'd like to request suggestions from Omega fans. Please either upload any photos that you might have or point me to where I might see some examples of what Omega was producing in 1965.I've attached some photos of the types of watches I've looked at so far.Thanks very much.A.

I just bought my first Citizen...will I like it? Are their quartz movements good quality? Are there any precautions I should be aware of (crystals scratching easily, soft steel, etc.)? It has a 5 year warranty so I was pretty confident with the purchase.

Hello all,This question can be applied to all top brands. I current have a pride of Italy RO and a PP 5711.I'm looking to add a dress watch one preferably in a precious metal and w moon phase. I find that I appreciate references with limited circulation like the 5711.I've considered breguet classique but I don't find the references to be scarce.
