Now that there is a reissue of the OG Royal Oak Offshore 'The Beast' ref. 25721ST, it's time to read about the original one. Hello,Just bought this nice Seamaster 2232.80. It is 9 years old, so it will propably need some servicing even though it is running quite fine but not exactly within COSC specs (a bit too slow). It was originally bought from Kosovo (Finnish KFOR). This is my first titanium watch ever. It feels very light (even a bit too light) and scratches easily. Does Omega make titanium waches anymore and if no, when did they stop making them and why?
Dear all,I have a 2012 5712/a in very good condition. Thinking of trading against a 5980/a (blue dial) 2009/12. I need to pay EUR 9000 in between or pherhaps part trade with my Hublot ice Bang. Would you do the trade at all? The recent appreciation in value have been steeper for the 5980 than the 5712 in my world. Is this a spread that will get wider you think? Always wanted a 5980 but still like the 5712.....????? What would you Guys do?Many thanks in advance...
TEMPUSOPERANDI - InstagramFollowing on from my visit to the Panerai Mahon Copa del Rey - Classic Yachts Challenge (.network54/Forum/353391/thread/1441318201) last year, this year I was invited to see the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchatel which I just wanted to share briefly. Unfortunately i am not able to share actual photos inside the manufacture but hopefully it will still be quite interesting. There was also a watch making course where we worked on the P2003 skeleton movement!Day 1:We were picked up from Geneva Airport and whisked straight to our hotel in Neuchatel which was just under 2 hours or so drive. We stayed at the Hotel Palafitte .palafitte.ch/en/home.html which was a really cool hotel as you can see from the photos, the rooms were atop the actual lake so I guess was fitting considering Panerai's marine history! Once I got into my room, there was a small gift and the itinerary waiting for me:For dinner we were taken to La Maison du Prussien https://.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restau.
Let's speculate and have some fun here in selecting our top choice for a watch to buy now that could be a great investment and future classic. Let us know which watch model and why it might appreciate in value/become a future classic.Let's not have any holier than thou answers where people say you should only buy a watch because you like it not because it might be an investment, that is boring and NOT what this post is about.
