F.P. Journe Stars In His Own Manga Comic
I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it, but watchmaker Francois-Paul Journe is starring in his own Japanese manga comic. Written and illustrated by actual Japanese people. Yes, it is weird, but totally true. I picked one up at a F.P. Journe boutique store here in Los Angeles and apparently there aren't that many of them.The manga is called "Story of F.P. Journe" and proceeds to walk through some elements of Francois-Paul's life and career¨C and some of the the brand's watches and developments. Actually, the "story" is not entirely new but rather an adaptation of a previous manga made especially for F.P. Journe. That previous manga was produced for the Japanese watch magazine called Tokei Begin and was called "Tokei Kigen Monogatari" from 2005. Newbie has a watch dilemma... care to help?
Hello!Really enjoying my time here so far.So my Fossil has crapped out on me. It's become, wella fossil. I've had the watch since high school so I sort of figure it was time for the watch to go anyway. Here is the problem. I want a Rolex. Seriously. But I don't have the money for a Rolex.Second problem. I need a watch. Not want. Need. As in, I hate using the computer to tell time. I could spring for something like an Omega (fine watch btw) but that's not what I want. I know this. I know I would probably end up selling the very nice Omega a few years from now, and buying the very nice Omega only sets me a few years back from buying my Rolex.Option 2: Buy another "cheap" watch, say under $500 or so. That seems to be a level where you get some quality, but it doesn't break the budget either.If I take door number 2, I have no idea what watch to get. My only experience is with Fossil, and I'm done buying Fossils. Have any suggestions?Thanks!Ryan

I've seen these two models (links to the Hamilton italian website):Navy GMT 3TandNavy GMTI've two question:1) Is the second the newer of the two? Some sellers said to me that the GMT 3 is an old model.2) The functionalities are the same? How works the 3rd time zones? Has anyone tried on the Chronoswiss Opus and Grand Opus and compared?
Does the regular Opus wear big on the wrist? Does the Grand Opus have way more "pop" to it? I live in Dallas/Ft Worth and I am having difficulty finding a Grand Opus to try. The price difference is huge, especially the gold models. In your opinion do you like the Solid gold, Rose Gold, Gold & SS, or the plain SS the best? I am liking the Rose Gold, or the SS with the blue face. I am having a hard time finding price info on the Grand. Also do you know if it comes in Plat? Thanks
