Swatch SUOK114 wrist watches news:
Ironically enough I was just thinking about BLU, and what ever happened to it? The cool high-end brand did some neat stuff with dials, but I haven't heard anything about them in at least a year or two. Well now I know. BLU's Bernhard Lederer is (BLU = Bernhard Lederer Universe) is on to other projects, and this is it - The Gagarin Tourbillon. To remind you, I last wrote about BLU here (about two years ago). Anyhow, on to The Gagarin Tourbillon. Yes, this watch is an homage to Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space. He was blasted into orbit via the Russian Vostok-1 rocket (Vostok is also the name of a watch brand but little coincidence!), and then orbited around a bit before coming back down. The Gagarin Tourbillon tries to memorialize this with a tourbillon that acts as a satellite around the dial of the watch. It travels over city names and places like the original satellite did. The tourbillon is a one minute tourbillon, and it revolves around the dial once each 108 minutes. Why 108 mi
HiI think you already know this but still...If you want your seamaster on your desktop. Install widgets from yahoo and download SMP Pro. You can choose Bond version or chrono version.downloads.zdnet/abstract.aspx?docid=305859Just a hint if someone missed this wonderful gadget
Yesterday, I saw a watch with what I am 70% sure was an inaccurate listing, with a BIN price that would be an absolutely screaming deal if I'm right.I dithered. I checked listings for watches that seem to be the same model, and they matched right down to the lug shape. I checked the seller's feedback. I considered whether, if I was wrong, was it a BAD deal. I dithered some more. All this took roughly 3 minutes. Then I hit the button. Now all I can do is wait to see whether I got my best deal ever, or simply paid a reasonable price for a watch.Keep watching this space!
I have several Chronographs and admitedly they are not high end and they are quartz. The problem I have that's frustrating is if there is any jarring of the watch the second hand (the sweep hand in the center) will go off twelve. Even after resetting the button it will go back to the off twelve position. I have an Invicta Chrono and don't recall having the problem, but I have a Citizen Thunderbird that the sweep hand is off 12.Anyone have this problem or should I stop banging my fist on the counter for service with a Chrono on?
Feeling a bit SEIKO today
