TAG Heuer CAF2010.BA0815 wrist watches news:
The first ever micro-rotor automatic watch movement was patented by Uhrenfabrik Bščren A.G. in the mid 50s. When their "planetary rotor" automatic movement was released in 1957 in the "Super Slender" line, it was one of the flattest automatics of its time and derivatives of the movement competed with the Universal Geneva micro-rotor for thinnest automatic in the world for many years. The most famous & implementation of the Buren micro-rotor was to be found in Hamilton's "Thin-O-Matic" line. . . For complete details see timezone/library/arch...88314105468750

Greetings everybody. I'm a new real watch owner and my first purchase was this new Speedmaster Auto-Date 3210.50. I absolutely love the watch and it seems to be keeping very good time after a week of ownership. I have searched quite a bit for an answer regarding winding an automatic watch, but haven't come up with anything substantial - most answers are regarding the Speedy Pro.My question is how often do I need to wind the watch? I understand it has a 44 hour reserve, but the book doesn't give much as far as a guideline for winding it. Initially, I wound it about 15 or 20 times and that's been about it. I purchased it new, so who knows how long it was in the display case. Also, do I wind until it stops? I'm thinking I should do this and then just continue wearing it every day...Thanks.John
Something refreshingly charming and simplistic about this. Sadly, I feel butchered by later iterations. Thoughts?
Just wondering something I was checking the website today and Basel is one month away. Now, I could be wrong (Usually am ) but there doesn't seem to be much Hype this year. I am thinking last year, we had threads and threads of discussion on predictions, desires, fails etc. But it seems to this WIS that this year is somewhat subdued(?). Does anybody else sense that we are not as excited about this Basel as years past? No Paul... only you... you're the only one.
