Resting position
Which resting position does yours seem to maintain the most accuracy? My TT3 it tends to run fast. Crown up, it gains the most. Crown down, it varies depending how much it is wound but it has lost a few here-there as it winds down. I've been letting it rest crystal down and this seems to turn in similar to crown up. In the week I've had it, I would say that on average, it gains about 15-18 seconds every 12 hours. It is the fastest mech in our household. The watch is still pretty fresh so after a spell, I hope it settles in.

Well, after much to-ing and fro-ing, I have chosen a new watch.I do want to save for another 'higher end' watch like the Sinn I love so much, but I needed a bit of retail therapy for my birthday, and if I didn't take advantage of the "okay you can buy a watch for your birthday" offer from the wife, it would expire (saving the money for a better watch was not an option).It should be here in about 1-2 weeks.Anyone care to guess what it will be?Here's a clue (or 2) - I didn't realize this type of watch was available as an 'analogue only' model, (no digital display), and it should be very rugged. It is also relatively cheap (price, not quality I hope)Guesses.....?

Received a really practical loupe today...
This is a 5-10x loupe with a difference - it comes with a bright LED light on the underside. The lighting makes a HUGE difference when it comes to looking at surface details. Every imperfection (including surface dust) is fully revealed under the even, white illumination. It's so good I don't think I'll use another loupe again.$3.20 shipped at dealextreme. Rolex Rotor Click
I have a Rolex Explorer 1 and I have noticed that when gently shaking watch near my ear winding it with the automatic rotor I hear a click that sounds similar to the click when manually winding via the crown. Is this normal?It only clicks every few seconds and clicks faster if I shake or move it faster and it clicks no matter how slowly I rotate the watch so I think it¡¯s just the mansping being wound but am worried it could be the rotor being lose or some cog clicking that should be lubricated.Anyone else have the same noise or something similar? I have very sensible hearing so maybe it¡¯s me being crazy!
