Seamaster 2420.80.00?
I have seen a listing for a Seamaster Dive Chrono with the model Id of 2420.80.00. It appears to be identical to the 2220.80.00. The sellers says that the difference is due to the band, the 2420 being for the European market. Omega's watchfinder gives no results for the 2420 designation. Anyone else have any information on this?

Automatic Reliability
Once I narrow my Hamilton search to a specific design, I need to think about quartz vs. automatic vs. mechanical. I don't think I want a mechanical watch (yet), so I need to decide between quartz and automatic.I had a Seiko Kenetic automatic watch and hated it. The capacitor failed after two years and the watch wouldn't hold a charge for more than twelve hours without use. The same thing happened to my brother's Seiko. I swore off automatic watches, but I'm now considering them again. How does Hamilton's automatic movement compare to those of other brands? Are there any reliability issues I should know about? Avenger II GMT at Costco
The avenger II GMT in black steel is available at my local Costco for $2,999. I'm normally not a Breitling guy (own a Rolex Submariner ND, Omega Planet Ocean, Omega Deville GMT) but I am thinking about getting this. Would the experts here consider this a good price for this watch considering it's being sold through a non-AD channel?

Dear all, just wondering why this model is so unloved by the Patek community? It¡¯s the very first in-house automatic movement, first flyback, the central chronograph hand can be operated continuously to serve as conventional seconds hand without harming the mechanism (for those who love to see their watches move), and the first to feature the 30 minute and 12 hour chronograph indicators in the same subdial, the easiest to read annual calendar, day/night indicator, power reserve. Everything is so legible.The 40 mm size is, in today¡¯s standards, a safe positioning.
