:):)ok Omegaphiles, there are a bunch of dive watches out here and a lot of talk of Omega dive watches, how many of you have an actual need for a "dive watch"? who has been scuba diving with their Omega? O.K. who just loves the rugged good looks and the versatility of not having to worry about getting it wet? any answer to the above questions is O.K. BTW.. I'd own divers watches even if I weren't a diver I'm sure.let me say I haven't been in the water since late Oct-early Nov 07 so I'm about to dry out and I'm going to remedy that very soon.. then stay wet the most of the rest of 08everything in the Omega lineup thats considered a dive watch is most certainly a REAL dive watch.. we all might have our preferences to which model and find one more attractive or applicable than another, but IMHO Omega has done it right, given choices but made them all worthy of the title"dive watch"...whether you, divesnorkel...swim.. or anything in between, these Omegas are up to it and look darn nice whi
Good afternoon all. I'm the new guy as of right now. I used to own a Citizen Eco Drive dive watch that was a gift from my grandmother when I graduated high school. However it was stolen a few years back. Since then I've used nothing but crap watches that always fall apart or die. Now I'm 28 with a good job and a family and am looking for something nice. My budget is limited, so no Rolex's or Omega's unfortunately. I can afford about $600 and was wondering what ya'll thought. I work at a computer console all day, and would not be wearing the watch outside of work and the evening time frame. Water resistance is a nice thing as well, but I won't be diving any time soon.
I have been told by a couple people who make bands for other company's watches that they do not put effort into making bands for AP because they are more of a challenge to make with the unique strap setup. But honestly, looking at it...I may be nieve, it looks like almost a regular strap then you punch out to marks where the metal adapter that's unique to ap would go? Not too hardDoes anyone think the lack of 3rd party straps is really due to the fact that it may be challenging to make (although I don't think it would be that more challenging than normal) or do you think it's more so just due to the demand (lack there of) and the size of the market based off the number of watches produced vs say Panerai?Just pondering.....
Hello,When countries adjust their timezones, as Russia did relatively recently, does Patek Philippe offer owners an opportunity to update their World Time dials to reflect this?If anyone has done so in the past, what is the cost of such an update, please? Thanks
