U Boat 1838 wrist watches news:
yesterday I pulled the trigger and am now the proud owner of the Seiko SKX781K, the OM. It has a rubber strap and I am one happy camper. I am pretty excited as it is my first Seiko. I know from the many threads here that there are a lot of happy OM owners. I feel fortunate to now be a member.
Here are a few recent purchases. The Rotary and Vostok Europe were quick turnoversI also received a G-Shock Atomic Solar digital new for $35 and an Alpha Tortue. The G-Shock was sold as cosmetically flawed, but:a) I can't find a mark on it. b) It's a G-Shock and will be used as my hiking/outdoor watch so a cosmetic flaw wouldn't matter anyway.I also just ordered a Seiko Premier Kinetic Chronograph. I've really become a fan of Seiko Kinetics, particularly since I learned my Orbita winders work great for charging them up!Anyway, here are the photos.IMG_9509.jpgIMG_9506.jpgIMG_9512.jpg
Hi Gents,Can anyone post some wrist shots of a white dial diver for me? I need a little enabling help. Also, how does the Diver in general hold up to daily wearing? Is it a complete scratch magnet? Thanks in advance!
What else to do at the office on the Friday before a long holiday weekend besides stare at my ...It kept distracting me so ...Then I got carried awaySlightly less distracting...Ok... Back to work!Have a great weekend everyone
Sad to find that my Omega Ploprof 1200M which just passed the warranty period by a few months will need service. When adjusting the hour hand to change the date, it feels loose and does not reach the next hour in a definitive manner. Also, when changing the minute hands the hour hand would change correctly until reaching the 9 o'clock then the hour hand would get stuck. Anyone knows what might be wrong? Also, do you recommend omega service center or prefers a local watch shop in Houston, Texas? Also, any insight into what this would probably cost would help as well. I'm thinking about bringing it to the Omega boutique here in Houston but wanted to reach out to my fellow TRFers before doing so. Any advice or things for me to consider will be much appreaciated. Thanks.
