Blancpain 500 Fathoms Titanium Watch
Wow, I did not expect to see something so bold from Blancpain this year. This is a totally new route for their diving watches. At first I was torn about the look (didn't see to be much more than what Invicta could come up with), but then I began to appreciate the more subtle items. Retained are the sapphire crystal tops on the rotating bezel (such a nice feature by the way), and new are the hands, and the face. The hands are really designed for perfect legibility in both light and dark situations, not one or the other which is sometimes the fact. They also remind me of torpedoes. I think that is intentional. The wild looking lume on the face is also fucntion, and not just for show. Somehow, it seems to make the watch easy to read in the dark when you aren't used to simply using the hands.Blancpain opted to go with a light weight titanium case for this large 48mm wide watch. Need help in straps! any patek gurus?
Hi all, i am from singapore and had just got my very first patek 5980/1a. Don't really like the steel braclet as i am a pretty shirt and jeans guy. My question is has anyone or is it possible to change a steel braclet to a leather one? Having ask the AD their answer was a firm no, i had doubts as its norm for ad to discourage modification to watches, not to memtion Patek! Will be visiting LA and San fran next month,any gurus here can recommend a specialized patek watch shop to ve my little modification done? Many thanks in advance!Jeffrey

Well within 5 years or so I plan to get me a Vacheron or a Audemars. I love these watches and well from what I know and the research I've done on my trips to Switzerland Audemars and Vacheron are the top watches in the world long with Patek which I am not too crazy about. I am looking at either a Vacheron Overseas model (perpetual calendar) or the Audemars Royal Oak (perpetual calendar) If anyone does have a Vacheron or an Audemars feel free to post pics for me (us) would love to see them.EDIT Audemars OR Vacheron
