Enamel Dial - Speedy Pro
Hello all! Being that one of the most popular and classic timepieces of all time, the Speedy Pro, has a new release in the pipelines (the Speedy "Enamel") with an automatic movement, date and of course an enamel dial, I was wondering how some of us feel about the new choice in dial material. I have always liked the material that the original dial was made of (which is kind of the same material that the dial of the PO is made out of), so I think it might take some getting used to, or better yet, it might take a while for myself to "warm up" to this new choice in dial. Does anyone know how these enamel dials are manufactured and why they are supposedly more expensive? I'm no expert on Rolex, but I think they use enamel dials in some of their pieces. Would anyone care to share some pics of enamel dialed watches? Of course Omega is preferred, but any brand would do, just to show off the beauty of a good enamel dial.I do not own a Speedy Pro, but before Basel '08, it was the next on m

An interesting visit to some watch stores today...
We were in one of the upscale local malls and discovered that over the last year, several specialty watch boutiques have opened. The had shops for Tag, Panerai, Hublot, Cartier, Tiffany, Omega and some other shops with multiple brands. We visited the Tag, Panerai, Omega and Hublot stores.I was wearing wrangler khaki shorts and an old navy t-shirt with Sketchers running shoes. My 14 yr old was her cute self. While visiting the shops, I noticed a huge range of friendliness: The Panerai salesman was the least friendly as if he was convinced that there was no way on earth that I could possibly buy one of his products. He was snobby and very reluctant to show me the model that caught my eye. (I did find one I really liked though)The Tag salesman was a little snotty at first but warmed up when we started talking watches and he realized that I was a WIS. My AP ROO Panda G Series Chronographs Aren't Working?
Hi Everyone,Just purchased my first expensive chronograph watch and am very excited about it. It's an Audemars Piguet ROO Panda G series, used but in great condition.One thing I noticed though was that when I pressed the top and bottom button but it had no effect on the chronograph. The top was supposed to start and bottom reset...The watch was kept in a winder and it's working correctly... Just not the chronograph.Any help is appreciated!
