Van Ree Chrono DNA Watch
When I first wrote about Van Ree watches they had a cool concept and a vintage style design. With their second timepiece, Van Ree of Holland offers a more contemporary design to go with their unique concept. The DNA part of the watch name is not just a cool sounding buzzword, these watches actually do have something to do with DNA, your DNA.The new model for Van Ree is this cool looking Chrono DNA. The first model was called the Personal DNA, and this one has the DNA of a chronograph? Not sure what that is about. If you click on the link above you can read all about the Personal DNA. Van Ree collects your DNA, and then uses parts of the genetic code on the watch itself. There is an imprint of the sequence on the rotor, and in acid base form on the periphery the back of the watch. For the Chrono DNA, I think things have been simplified. The graphics around the dial (as well as engraved into the automatic rotor) are meant to resemble the look of a? graphical DNA sequence. It's Friday, the day we traditionally show off our Hammies. But today is also 4/11. So let's add a little something today. What's the 411 on your watch? It can be anything. Tech specs. Why you bought it. Where you found it. I'll start with my Khaki Field Auto Chrono.I first saw a watch with the Valjoux 7750 about 15 years ago, a Breitling Chrono Avenger. Back then I didn't know a Valjoux from Jean Valjean. But I was impressed with the look and feel of that watch. Back then I didn't have the money for the Breitling. Today I have other things I want to spend the money on. When I really caught the watch bug I saw other watches with the 7750 and liked the look of the dial. After visiting this forum I learned more about Hamilton and discovered the Khaki line. IMO, Hamilton has made excellent use of the 7750 in their designs.
