TAG Heuer CAC111B.BA0850 wrist watches news:
Greetings all. I'm fairly new to the watch collecting world, having had a Tag Aquaracer for many years that I finally grew tired of and sold recently. I've used the proceeds to actually start a collection of more moderately priced watches (after 7 years or so with the same watch, I wanted a little variety). I'm 34, live in Atlanta with my fiancee, two cats, and a Great Dane, and a baby on the way (hence no Rolex's, Seamasters, or Cartiers [should anyone feel so inclined, I would not refuse a donated Pasha]).Today I accompanied my brother to buy HIS first real watch, an automatic Tag Aquaracer in black. Very nice. While I was there, I couldn't resist the 70% off price tag of a rather sharp Officina Del Tempo. Picked it up for $150 and also picked up my Movado Eliro from the shop. With the arrival of my Black Monster on Tuesday of next week, my watch collection will be complete. Love to hear your thoughts!#1 Movado Eliro. I really am not a huge fan of Movados, but this watch has attracted
Congrats also to the Dodgers and their fans. That was one helluva Series. But, boy. This city needed a win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wanted a watch which is different to my White Gold Rolex Daytona with Panda dial, so I've just bought myself a HUGE Breitling!!It's the AB0412 Limited Edition (2000) Chronomat GMT 47mm.It's to be my non suit wearing sporty watch.Excellent craftsmanship and I'm very happy with it so far:Wrist Shot:
Hi all,I did a really dumb thing and let a vendor in a mall who asked if I wanted my watch cleaned for free polish it with a some sort of cloth. He polished it so much that the graded finish on the band is now highly polished!! It looks terrible!I took it to a really good watch maker Melbourne where I live and he said that the graded / matte finish is done by the factory and he doubts that anyone here in Australia can fix it - not even the official swatch service centre that handles Omega service for australia! I'm really disappointed about this, any advice?Should I buy a new band? If so, from where and how much might this cost? Thanks for your help!
So I've put my name down on the list for a 5711. Who knows how long that will take. Anyways, in the meantime I think ill buy either the 44 Ti ROO or the 44 RG. Not totally decided on which yet. Anyways my question is, one of my other loves in the watch world is Grand Seiko. I have owned 7 of them at various stages and currently have 3. How do you all compare Grand Seiko to PP? I know they are pretty different, just wondering what that translates to in the flesh. Also, side note, spring drive is incredible and has spoiled me completely on mechanical movements from an accuracy perspective. A few pics of my faves.
