Baume & Mercier Baume & Mercier 7220 wrist watches news:
It is a definite indication that you readers are serious watch lovers when you are willing to kindly provide a photo update after winning a nice watch. Last month's aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer watch giveaway was for New Zealand's own Magrette Moana Pacific watches, and winner Chris K. shares with us his thoughts and some 'wrist candy' for you see. Here are a few words from him, and images (he did his best to capture the watch. You can always see more pics in my review of the Moana Pacific timepiece here. Also, quick note to you all, the lovely box that you see the Moana Pacific in and resting on does not come with the standard Moana Pacific watch. It is an upgraded watch box that can be upgraded to. Magrette specially included it here for the winner of the aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer watch giveaway. Here are some words from the winner himself:"I have to say that the watch is a pleasure to wear and to look at, and my wife agrees it is both masculine and classy. I was a bit worried it would
I have had my Ingenieur for 5 months and the watch have certinaly lived up to its reputation. This is my second Inge. The bracelet for this watch is as you all know a real statement in precision and comfort, and gives the watch a real professional "tooly" look. If one wants a more sporty look theres always the AMG soft strap.I for one desired a more dressy look for those special occasions, something like the alligator for the Big Ingenieur. Sadly there is no such option from IWC Since the watch is phased the hopes for a dressy strap for the 3227 from the manufacturer got lost. So the hunt for a custom made strap began. I got in contact with Jacob Ramirez from "Jacob Straps" in Spain. He had previously made custom straps for the inge and knew what it was all about. He uses a technique with a metal reinforced core layer which he builds the strap around.Being very picky I customized more or less everything with the strap, the alligator hide, stiching, holes and their distance, lengths, thi
Here it is. A little smaller than I expected, but certainly feels sturdy enough. Came with a few unusual features (at least, unusual to my experience with consumer watches). It has two buttons, but one seems to be recessed (just below the visible one) and I had to use a pen-tip to click it; this is the button used to program the watch, so it's essentially impossible to alter the settings by mistake. The second is the date function; it remembers the month and day you set it to (I've never had a watch able to do so before).Overall, it's a nifty little device.
faithful old pal for me all day, work and home
Just curious.I want to eventually own one of these, and i'm not sure if it is a great watch for everyday use, no matter where you're going, or you have to be extra cautious with these beautiful time pieces.I've read several cases where they scratch up very easy, just want to confirm from existing RO owners.Doesn't mean I won't own one, just want to know what i'm in for beforehand! Excited anyway.
