Montres Journe Introduces Solid Gold Dials on 3 New F.P. Journe Watches
Francois-Paul Journe, the founder and namesake of the F.P. Journe watch brand, had long dreamed of making watches ¡ª not just cases ¡ª out of gold. In 2004 his watch company, Montres Journe, became the first to produce entire movements in 18k rose gold, and this year, Journe has added yet another component: gold dials for three of his brand’s watch models.The new dials ¡ª which make their debut on new versions of the F.P. Journe Chronom¨¨tre Souverain, Octa Automatique Reserve and Octa Automatique Lune ¡ª are made from 18k gold and feature embossed, mirrored numbers integrated into them. The base of each dial is sanded to perfection before a layer of silver is applied in Journe’s own special process. The numbers are surfaced and given their mirror-polish by means of a diamond tool. The print transfer of the time indications and F.P. Journe logo is the final step in making the dials, with up to five successive layers of finishing for a perfect “bomb¨¦” shape. Each dial

Located at the ION shopping complex in Orchard district, this is the flagship (largest) *Panerai store in all of Asia. *So I won't be seeing anything more spectacular in Hong Kong, Japan, etc. *This was it and I was impressed. *Better than the Rolex, Muller, Omega, Hublot, Breguet to name a few. *But right on par with the IWC Boutique. *Rightfully so as they are Richmont family members and the patron experience is all about living room lounging!These model subs were everywhereStaff showing some locals a few in house movement pieces*I overheard them ordering OEM straps so unfortunately I couldn't go over and watch them package up a new watch with Boutique swag thrown in. *I always get giddy whenever anyone makes a watch purchase.*I watched some videos and flipped through the special edition catalogueI'm pretty stoked that my host here in Singapore is going after a piece he has been eyeing for a long while. *Working a deal for a 26k in the USA. *Massive collection of prints I had to take

Early birthday Air King¡¯s first flight
Leaving for a convention with my wonderful girlfriend and we stopped by the AD before catching our flight. I¡¯ll get right to it- it was between the DJ41 and new Airking, both just arrived from Rolex and hadn¡¯t even hit the case yet. I tried on the DJ41 jubilee and it just wasn¡¯t for me. I put on the Airking and she and the salesman both said that¡¯s the one! It¡¯s the first Rolex I¡¯ve received as a gift and that makes it so much more enjoyable to wear. We let the AD hold the box until we get back and left straight for the Airport. What a way to kick off our trip!
