TAG Heuer WAH1217.BA0859 wrist watches news:
On November 12, 2012, the watch collecting community watched in wonder as two of the world's most important Patek Philippe wristwatches went under the hammer at Christie's Geneva: a reference 2499 perpetual calendar chronograph in platinum?offered for sale by Eric Clapton (one of two white metal 2499s ever made, with the other belonging to Patek Philippe)?and a reference 2458 that was made especially for Joe Ben Champion, Jr. housing a movement that placed third in the 1948 Geneva Observatory competition. Each would have been the cover lot for any just about any other watch auction, but it just so happened that they were part of the same sale. On paper, many would have assumed that the Clapton 2499 would sell for more than the Champion 2458 ¨C but many would have been wrong. Champion's 2458 was the champion of the sale, bringing in over $4 million. The winner of the watch? Alfredo Paramico, who has since sold it. My new watch came yesterday: the beautiful Orange Monster...I won't go into technical details because I think most of you already know the specs and movement of this watch. You better take a look at the whole process of unpacking the watch, sizing the bracelet and some other fancy pics as well:The box was sent by the seller from Caracas.Let's begin...This box seems a little old, and it's bigger than the one that came with my Black Monster.Indeed, the box IS old, even the Seiko logo seems out-dated.I don't care about the box anymore once I opened it and saw this beauty... The watch is completely new, by the way.The box has a hidden compartment on the bottom, which serves to keep the manual and certificate in place. That's a nice detail, IMO.Here's the whole package: watch, box, manual, warranty and certificate. Here's the famous blue sticker. It was removed after taking that pic.Ok. Now it's time to resize the hefty bracelet, even though some people say it's a tricky task to do, I don't
Found out they will soon be stocking Hamilton watches. I won't have to drive 103 miles to Ithaca anymore. This is going to be very bad for my checking account!
I was curious I always here people having a hard time finding a pp nautilus 5711 but I always see one when I'm in a ad but I had a hard time finding my jumbo 15202 which do you think they make less of and which do you think is a harder find
So I was lucky enough to get tickets to this year's Champions League final in Cardiff. As the stadium is only about 30 mins drive from my home I was able to work in a weekend at home with the family as well. (I work in Qatar in the Middle East). A couple of weeks ago prompted by an incoming thread from 'topcat30093' I followed up on an order I had placed back in December for an aquanaut. I was told 12-18 months initially as an expected wait time but lucky for me the AD told me he thought he could now get one within two weeks. So I flew into the UK on Thursday, picked the watch up on Friday and proudly wore it to the Final last night. Here's a pic of my new aquanaut at the game.
