TAG Heuer wat2010.ba0951 wrist watches news:
Hi,My usual home is over on the Bulova/Accutron Forum. I am a collector of Accutrons and have grown fond of the Accuquartz caliber. To-date I have acquired 11 Accuquartz watches and two movements. BTW, I also have a Titus with the f300. My latest "Accuquartz" movement arrived in the mail today. As seen from the pics, it is a Beta21, first gen, that was marketed by Bulova only in 1971 - the year before they introduced their own caliber 224x movement. The movement was described "As Is" and not working. It had an original #313 watch battery installed. When I replaced that battery with a fresh silver oxide battery, the movement immediately began to vibrate! Yahoo, it's alive. Thought that may be possible but not expected. I don't really plan to find a Bulova case as they were all 18K and most of the few ever produced are long gone to the refinery. I wish to have the movement to display with my 224x Accuquartz watches. I would like to have a stem and crown. I don't really care about the crow
First of all, I want to thank all the members who have helped me with their valuable sources of information. I need help iwith background information regarding my Mens Gold Hamilton masterpiece watch with a Burlington Northern logo on the lower face (see pics). It is approx 30mm X 30mm X 5mm in size. The case back has "Hamilton 3742" and the number 632 on the bottom. I haven't seen this style wristwatch listed in any Railroad Watch search, or Hamilton models pictures and wonder how unique it is. I'm interested in knowing its model, Karat weight, production numbers, etc., and any background Railroad infoormation regarding why this watch was issued.
I was at the AP boutique earlier today and they told that the forged carbon diver will be discontinued. Or should I say it won't be produced anymore since its only a concept model. A new full ceramic diver will replace the forged carbon one. All the yellow parts will be in orange instead of yellow. I suppose the orange will be like the Volcano ROO.
I am considering buying the PO 42mm but the online price I can find is ?250 cheaper than the high street stores. Can you negotiate with high street chains or are they unable to offer discounts? I would prefer to buy from a known high street shop but ?250 is a big difference in price.
I was wondering if anyone might know what type of dial I have on a 18138 I just purchased. To the eye it looks like Mother of Pearl, but in photos you can see the ROLEX repeated throughout, like an Anniversary style dial. The photos were taken at slightly different angles. In the Tuesday one it looks more MOP, in the Monday one it looks more Anniversary style. Thanks for any input.
