- My only complaint about my new Bulova watch is that it is considerably too large for my wrist. I'm going to take it to a jeweler/watch repair shop right away to have several links taken out of the band.

TAG Heuer wj2110 wrist watches news:
Since its launch in 1994, the Lange Tourbillon ¡°Pour le M¨¦rite¡± has established itself as one of the most fascinating wristwatches in the world. The complication, with its fus¨¦e-and-chain transmission, has spurred Lange’s return to greatness more than any model apart from the Lange 1. Find pricing and ordering information inside. The fascinating story of this extraordinary watch and the three other ¡°Pour le M¨¦rite¡± models is set out in a new coffee table book titled A. Lange & S?hne: The ¡®Pour le M¨¦rite¡¯ Collection. The book is written by watch expert Peter Chong, a long time insider of the brand and founding moderator of the A. Lange & S?hne forum at the international internet platform TimeZone. The book measures a generous 11.5 x 16.5 inches and contains 240 pages, many with large photographs by the author. It provides an insider look at A. Lange & S?hne: its early formative years, the special line of watches which are classified as ¡°Pour le M¨¦rite¡±, portraits of pas
One thing about horology that confuses me is the difference between a "modded" watch and a "frankenwatch".Both have parts that are not original to the watch, i.e. a different dial, hands or case etc. So why is one apparently acceptable (modded) and the other (frankenwatch) is not?Is it the intent? By that I mean does someone who mods a watch mean it to be just that ( a watch that has been altered from the original) and someone who builds a frankenwatch has the intent to deceive? The difference between a fake and an authentic watch, for example a Rolex is clear to me, it's just the difference between a modded watch and a so called frankenwatch that has me puzzled.
Here's one of the latest sent to me for review (excuse the iPhone photo quality). The new Planet Ocean in Titanium with the liquid metal bezel. It just happens to look good with today's shirt. I really like the blue.....orange accents are subtle and attractive. First titanium watch I've seen that doesn't look titanium. Uh-ohhhh.. Like?
Guess what I found on eBay?:cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_2600wt_1167Look familiar? Well, it does to me!For fun, I'm keeping an eye on it to see what it goes for. The seller says it's NOS, which it probably was when he bought it. If you look at the condition of the sticker on the back you can tell it's seem some wrist time though. Here's how the sticker on the back of mine looked the day I got it:So, what do you think the ending price will be? If you say $1220, then you're covered from $1220.00 to $1229.99 - so there's no "Price is Right"-style outbidding somebody by $1. I obviously can't play because (1) I'm too familiar with the watch and (2) I'm the 'host' of this game show. We'll let the guessing continue until there's 24 hours left. As soon as the timer on the eBay auction goes into red and shows the hours & minutes there will be no more posts accepted. One guess per entrant!
for my Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph. Anyone know where i can purchase a new one?TIA
