TAG Heuer CW2111.QK9599 wrist watches news:
Did you know that literally every single A. Lange & Söhne timepiece is unique? It's true, and that is because each timepiece that comes out of the Glashütte manufacture features one component (at minimum) that is hand engraved – the balance-cock. 1 OF 4 The engraving of the balance-cock dates back to the early 20th century when Lange was buiding superlative quality "1A" pocketwatches. When the brand relaunched in the early 90s, it just made sense to continue on with one of Lange's greatest traditions. So, within the halls of the Lange manufacture exists a small group of six engravers that individually sculpt the balance cock via a set of specially created tools. Click through for a more detailed look at this craft. 2 OF 4 The average Lange watch receives a floral engraving on the balance-cock, a small piece of metal smaller than a human finger nail. Good morning folks!Karen and I got back from our trip to LA Monday night about midnight. I had HOPED to get out another installment of my Japan trip report before we left, but didn't quite finish it in time. Since there was going to be a lag between installments, I actually worked on the final installment (days 6 & 7) before the others, as it was my final day in Tokyo, and the day that WATCH TALK FORUMS member Otto took me Rolex watch shopping. I should have the other installments (days 2 & 3, and days 3 & 4) by the weekend, then look for the LA trip report!rolexreferencepage/tr...y6/japan6.html
Greetings! I have been looking for a daily wear watch that can handle the elements yet still be nice enough to wear out casual - the proverbial "Jack Watch" if you will (Jack of trades). I was originally leaning toward the Marathon TSAR (and still want one someday). I liked the, deep breath, quartz movement. With the quartz, you have ultimate flexibility - can sit for a month, and you are still ready to go.But then, I ran across a Vostok K3. I have looked at the Vostoks before and have been interested in picking one up. Found one elsewhere at a good price that was unworn and came on a bracelet. It has a nice size (41mm), interesting day/night complication, date, 10ATM water resistance, and a reliable auto movement. Perfect for camping, biking, etc.I'm looking forward to it - my first sub. And yes, I'll post pics when it arrives.B
Hi,I have recently purchased a Rolex GMT II BLNR and wanted to get it insured. Most insurance companies will only insure watches up to a value of ¡ê5000. Does anyone know of any specialist watch insurance companies that can be recommended?ThanksMark
