Regardless of their attitude, Patek Philippe is an innovator in the watch world, and they helped further the movement to bring back the mechanical watch when quartz watches looked to be taking over in the 1980s. Today Patek Philippe is among those watch makers who have a reputation for ultra-high quality watches whose value can actually increase overtime.Their latest foray is the Reference 5960P, the "P" standing for platinum. It will be a few weeks before it arrives, so it's seller's pics for now. Oh, did I mention, Lloyd's brother's name is "Gary." The Hamilton Gary...

As some of you might know, I posted on this forum here, asking for help, trying to choose between a 111 and 000. Thanks for the suggestions guys, you certainly helped me make up my mind! But first, a little background...Four years ago, I'd been looking at possibly getting a Panerai. I registered myself and was an ardent lurker on the Paneristi forums. Lurk, lurk, lurk, lurk... save, save, save, save... finally, I had the resources to pull the trigger on a Panerai. So I started the hunt for a used 176, but just my luck... nothing came up in my searches on Paneristi. So I moved on to other forums, TRF being one of them. Naturally (and especially since this is a Rolex forum), I deviated and started getting interested in the Submariner instead. All of a sudden, my interest had suddenly taken a massive turn. Two years of careful research seemed to have been flushed down the drain! I spen
