TAG Heuer CS2111.FC8119 wrist watches news:
The original reissue of the Seagull 1963 was and still is a big success. Great looks, an intriguing history and a price no one could scoff at ensured this. We took an in-depth look at the original 38mm version some months ago and were charmed by it's unique vintage character. The gold-tone dial, gold applied markers and blued-steel hands gave it a unique character that while stemming from military design had an elegance that made it versatile and altogether stylish. And of course, the ST19 manual column wheel chronograph movement inside gave it a mechanical prowess that sealed the deal. Additionally, they added 2 new color variations to add yet another layer of options. While the larger size was likely a response to the general trend for wat
Over the years, Bulova has produced a boat load of differently styled divers and chronographs. During the 1970’s, they made several different diver chronographs with a variety of case and dial styles. Perhaps the most quintessential of the 1970’s was the Deep Sea Chronograph with “surfboard dial”. Produced for only two years, 1970 and 1971, this chunky diver has all the 1970’s hallmarks. My example was made in 1971, and is in all original condition. The dial is the main attraction here, silvery white with a fantastic blue oval “surfboard” encircling the two chronograph register sub dials. It has thick, applied steel markers with lume filled lines, and unique broad white hands with day-glow orange tips. I once heard someone refer to them as “cigarette” hands as they do resemble a cigarette with an ember at the tip! How 70’s is that? The dial has a tachymeter along the outer edge for timing one’s speed. It is signed “B

..........I posted a group photo of the watches I got back from Jerry, and polished and put bands on.....but the Hamiltons gotta go into the Hamilton forum ......you've seen tehm before when I got them in .....but this is their "ready for the market" finished product look .........Starting with my favorite ,......I love this watch .....so simple, so classic, so elegant......and so clean ....and I love this style of back tooand the ultra clean dial .....and the movement for all you movement freaks ......hee heeand here's the square/cushionish Hammy ......and the dial is in pretty nice condition toothe movement ......and this is just a quartz Hamilton, but got it for a silly price, and found that someone sold a similar one on etsy for $125 ,.....heh heh ......
