Movado Group, Inc. has announced its first quarter results. The company enjoyed top-line growth of 25%, though the bottom line did not fair as well, with an adjusted net loss of $4.8 million. The company also announced that it will close its retail boutique division effective June 30, 2010 in an effort to redirect investment toward higher return businesses. The move does not affect the company’s 31 outlet stores, nor will it affect the company’s flagship Movado Boutique in New York’s Rockefeller Center. Regarding the boutique closings, Rick Cote, President and Chief Operating Officer of Movado Group, Inc., said, “Following several years of unprofitability and a strategic review of the business, we have decided to close our retail boutique division. We believe that this action will assist Movado Group to return U.S. operations to profitability. I am seriously considering to sell my SD M series brand spank new and get an LV.Sounds crazy, doesn't ?? The thing is the LV is a "funny" and "no drama" watch, and that's what I generally look at watches when I buy them. The LV puts a smile on my face when I look at it. It goes well with my happy go lucky personality and my 365 days per year of fleece/sport dress. My SD is beautiful and does not gets noticed, wich is something I love too. And ,I have to admit, the bubbleless display and his plastic elegance is something else. Am I maybe still in break in period ? Should I not get parted from such a beautiful watch yet ??? You think the green will bore you in the long run while the SD will never be out of style ??? Should I wait for my winter fleece and my SD to see if they get along ???...silly silly questions....making an ass of myself...
Hi, I've always liked the Speedmaster moon walk(even though I'm a Bulova spaceview guy), is this watch automatic or hand wound?Seems like the retail is short of $4k, is there a place I could get a better deal or is the price the same across all distributors?Last but not least. Where is a good place to buy online (with the confidence is not a knock off)ThanksGaspar

Does anyone here own a Breitling, three-register Top Time? I have one I purchased over twenty years ago and see very little about this watch on any of the forums. When I purchased mine, it was an NOS, new old stock, Breitling and was manufactured back in the 1970's. I purchased it from a watch shop in Miami that had several vintage NOS Breitlings in their display case. At the time, it seemed like a great purchase. If you own one of these vintage Breitlings, how about posting a photo here.Thanks.
