F.P. Journe Launches 10th Anniversary Chronom¨¨tre ¨¤ Resonance
Though it was not the first piece produced under the F.P. Journe brand, the Chronom¨¨tre ¨¤ Resonance certainly played a major role in establishing Journe’s reputation as a creative maverick. When it was launched, the watch, and the theory behind it, were frequently discussed in the online forums. In 2004, Journe introduced the second version of the R¨¦sonance with the first movement ever made in 18K rose gold, a specification that still applies to all of the brand’s chronometers. Now in 2010, Journe launches a special 10th anniversary model. The dial at 9 o’clock now offers twin digital disks with a 24 hour display, defining the hours of day and night. The dial at 3 o’clock in silver guilloche indicates the local time in a traditional 12 hour display. The movement remains in 18K rose gold, and a new gear transmission has been added to power the 24 hour display. Clerc Hydroscaph H1 Watch
Here in the watches-dealer watch dungeon, we are currently putting the new for 2013 Clerc Hydroscaph H1 watch through our rigorous watch testing procedures. So a hands-on review of the H1 will come in due time, but until then we'd like to share the news about this new three-hand version of the Clerc Hydroscaph, which is the H1.There will likely be a few versions of the H1. This is the steel model with a really lovely metallic blue dial. I wouldn't have thought that a bright green trimmed minutes hand would have worked, but it does. The 44mm wide case is typical Hydroscaph with its unique design and patented rotating bezel locking system (that unfolds like a little winding key). The crown design appears to be new and is rather interesting.Inside the watch is a Clerc caliber C609 automatic movement that is a base ETA with special decoration and is partially viewable through two smaller sapphire crystal caseback windows. I recently bought this Omega. It is really special. A real collectors item. I went home to google it, but fairly quick I realized this was a very special watch. Couldn¡¯t even find a second one. I¡¯m thinking to contact the Omega museum.
