Adam has mentioned how important it is to do your homework. Here's a perfect example:I want a caliber 30L for my Longines collection. I recently had one bought unseen which turned out not to be what I was looking for. It wasn't in the type of condition I would feel comfortable selling it in, so I had it serviced and restored. After eBay and Paypal took their cuts and my watchmaker got paid, at least I nearly got my money back out of it. Which Navitimer in summary
Hey Guys,I have recently taking a liking to the Navitimer. That said I prefer a smaller sized watch preferably at the 40mm level and defintley not exceeding 41mm.In the little research Ive done I note a lot of the modern versions are quite large and hoped the forum could perhaps summarize the models and options I should search for. I'm not adverse to vintage that said I can go either way, the only caveats are size and cost.Which vintage and which more modern version should I look out for and why?Thanks

Rolex as a Timepeice
I know I will get some heat for this but.... I never looked at Rolex as a timepiece like I looked at my PP/VC/IWC etc.... mostly as a daily casual and some staples for my collection (sub/GMT/Daytona), but I'm catching up on my mail after getting back from the Caribbean and got my Love Package from Hellmut Wempe and the new Rolex Cellini Moonphase in 18k rose gold just screamed at me..... I think its the 1st time ive been in love with a rolex..... I might have to put that deep blue on hold......but.... I am afraid that like my PP/VC and other beautiful dress ones.....it wont see the light of day as much as my casual rotation does.......:( but.... nicely done Rolex..... nicely done....
