Hey guys & gals,I had a couple questions I'm hoping someone can help with.. 1)When did the 18K Submariner get solid center links in the bracelet? Is there a reference # 'cut-off' for the old vs. new bracelet?2)When did the 18K YAcht-Master get solid center links, or was it the same time as the 18k Sub? 3)When did the President bracelet get solid center links (or has it always had solid links on the president bracelet)? This is what a buck buys you at a yard sale.
I've been very luck at yard sales lately (I buy and sell antiques, as well as watches), and today wasn't any different. I went to one sale today that I saw was going on locally on craigslist that looked like it could be a good one. Well, I got there, and there was tons of good stuff! I asked the man if I could make a pile, and he said sure! There was no prices on anything, so you had to ask for the prices, or make offers, etc. Well, I was there for about ten minutes and I was going through a very shallow box, and I saw what looked to be a watch on a really tacky 1960's/70's leather cuff bracelet. I pick it up, read the dial, asked how much it was, and put it with all of my stuff! He wanted $1 for it, so $1 I gave him, paid for my stuff, and left. It was a 1960's Omega Seamaster with a steel case in fairly good condition, and running to boot! I just took some dirty pictures of it after I took it off of that terrible strap.
