- This watch is a beautiful piece of jewelry. However, it's not very functional as a watch. Extremely hard to read. It would make a much nicer pendant or a cuff bracelet. Sorry to say, this one is going back.

Cartier WG800018 wrist watches news:
Has anyone used Watchfinders Service Department for watch repairs ? and cost of repairs etc. Also do they use original parts.
Hello WTF members,I've been a "new watch guy" for many years and have graduated up to Rolexes as my preferred daily wrist attire. But during the past year or so, I've become very interested in vintage timepieces. The idea of all that history in a wrist watch appeals to me; perhaps not as something I would necessarily wear all that often, but just a fascinating item to own.So I've been following the auctions during this time and have discovered my personal favorites time and time again tend to be early 1900 skeleton watches by companies such as Omega, Longines, etc. I finally bit the bullet on one and can't wait for it to arrive. The auction description is as follows: "1906 Omega Skeleton Wristwatch with original engraved dial and 5 jewel mechanism. This Omega Yellow Gold tone skeleton is a collectible antique timepiece. The converted chromoplated case has an exhibition back lid. The original Omega dial has added stainless steal Roman numeral hour markers, stainless steel breguet
Local shops over here tend not to have catalogues, not sure why but they just don't. I had seen them on sale on the bay and couldn't figure out why, so I sent a little email off to Swatch Group customer care. I figured they may send out one or maybe just ignore me, but only a couple of days later the doorbell rang and the wife answered and the postie was rather flustered and looking not too impressed at the weight of the envelope he had addressed to me. All credit to the Swatch group they only went and sent out a chunk of their latest catalogues, Omega x 3, Longines,Rado,Certina,Tissot. Not a big thing but I figure they deserve a little mention for their prompt customer care.
