How much is my Rado Diastar worth?
Hi,I'm considering selling my old Rado watch at some point later in the year and upgrading to a different brand such as Omega. My Rado is about 10 years old, it's a gold-plated Diastar original, catalogue ref is R12393153, movement is Quartz Caliber. It's identical to the one shown at the following link:Rado Watches. My College Graduation Present
...after 20 years! I guess it is never too late. I have had a couple of modern iterations of this iconic model (SUBC and LV); but the first one I ever saw in the metal, and that introduced me to the world of Rolex was the 16610, in the mid 90s. Well, as a college student I heard stories of kids getting their nice timepieces as graduation presents, and I couldn¡¯t help but to think that I might, just might, be one of those lucky ones; however, my parents are from a different train of thought; and I actually admire and respect that. They worked very hard, saved and accomplished all they ever dreamed for their family...so, the graduation date came, and as I was getting ready for the ceremony, both of them came into my room and handed me a little box. Inside there was a very discreet, yet elegant, gold chain, with a plaque. On the back of this plaque there was a writing that said ¡°A Day To Remember.¡± Well, indeed it was! Completely forgot about that Rolex Sub that I was desperate to have.
