Tech Talk: Montblanc’s TimeWriter II Chronographe Bi-Fr¨¦quence 1000
If three watches constitute a trend, then measuring milliseconds, or 1/1,000s of a second, is a trend. Two watch brands, each with high-speed horological histories, have launched mechanical chronographs claimed to be capable of accurately measuring 1/1,000s of a second. Last year, TAG Heuer debuted its Mikrotimer Flying 1000 Concept Chronograph, followed this year by the even faster Mikrogirder. At SIHH this year, Montblanc launched its own millisecond-measuring marvel, the TimeWriter II Chronograph Bi-Fr¨¦quence 1000, which employs a unique approach to splitting seconds.In a sense, development of Montblanc¡¯s high-speed chronograph began in 1916. That¡¯s when Minerva launched its first 1/100s-of-a-second stopwatch. Acquired by Richemont in 2006, Minerva was a true manufacture, known for chronographs and pilots¡¯ watches. In 2007, Richemont decided that Minerva would produce movements for Montblanc, and the following year, Montblanc launched the ¡°Fondation Minerva¡± to create the TimeWriter

Orbita sparta 1 tesla question
Hey Guys. I am interested in purchasing a orbita watch winder (probably the sparta one tesla). However, I have a quick question. My wrists are somewhat smaller so the bracelet on my Oris f1 williams day/date is adjusted to be smaller (had to take out 6 links from original factor oris bracelet). This may seem like a dumb question, but will it fit in the winder? Will the bracelet be too small/tight to fit into the pillow thing that you put the watch on

Got this guy for a pitance, bad photo of it, and it had the worst band I have ever seen, like a minature giraffe skin red/brown spots with cream as lines in between ......looked gawdawful with a deep teal and gold watch !I found this NOS band that matches the gold ( electroplate ) color very closely ( oh those different shades of gold !) it runs very well but it's off to my watch guy for an oiling ........But I think Hamilton was really thinking outside the box on this one, I mean really TEAL???????? ....I'm thinking 70s ?????....and sorry about the cat hair on the case...sigh....with 5 cats here, it's hard to avoid .....

AP ROO Ti Bracelet?
I sent an email to Clearwater but didn't get a response, figured I would ask here.I know you can purchase the SS and Gold ROO bracelet straight from AP. Can you also purchase one in Ti? I'm thinking ahead on the 'Grey Ghost' piece and would like to have the versatility of bracelet as well as the rubber (plus I think it will look fantastic). If anybody has any info on this (and pricing) it would be great. I was thinking it's possible, as models such as the 26170TI.00.1000TI.01 were full titanium with bracelet.

Has there been an increase in Nautilus demand?
I have noticed that prices for all Nautiluses have jumped significantly in the last year. 5711's were a few k over list and are now MUCH more than that. 5712's were available at around list and now also very expensive. Annual calendars were undesirable and now also seem in demand. What happened? Vintage market finally helming the more modern market?
