Tag Heuer WAR5012FC6326 wrist watches news:
During my visit with A. Lange & S?hne at SIHH last week, I had an opportunity to snap some images in and around the booth, including a few of the new timepieces. The big story this year is the brand’s 165th anniversary and the three Homage to F.A. Lange pieces in Lange’s proprietary honey gold. The new Annual Calendar was also very well received. SIHH guests mingle outside the Lange boothThe booth entrance featured a large Zeitwerk-inspired clock that naturally displayed the current time digitally Noted watchmaker Philippe Dufour admires a Lange movement at the boothAt SIHH, Lange introduced a black-dial version of the Zeitwerk, known internally as the “Phantom”. To be read at night, the Phantom’s numbers must glow, but charging the luminescent material is a challenge when the numbers are hidden behind the dial most of the time. Lange solved the problem by creating the dial from a “reverse sunglasses” material that allows UV light through,
I was watching an episode of Pawn Stars a couple of days ago, during one of their marathons, where a customer brought in a vintage Hamilton Chronometer to sell. At first blush, it appeared to not be in working order. That definitely affected what Rick offered the seller. I think they ended settling on about $250. The Chronometer was taken to a watch/clock expert and the movement was pulled from case. It turned out some wooden shims had been placed in the movement to keep it from being damaged during shipping. After they were removed, it began to run. The assertion was made that a working model was likely worth around $2500. (It appears to have sold for about $160 new.)Does anyone have any idea how accurate that might be?
Hello everyone,I know this is a long shot but does anyone own and are willing to sell their Seiko Spring Drive Moon Phase 2 SNR011 or Seiko Ananta Spring Drive SNR023? It's a magnificent timepiece that I've wanted for a long time. Thank you!Seiko SNR011.jpgSeiko SNR023.jpg

I often wonder what attract people to certain watches. Specifically a variant of a particular watch. Take the 114060 and the 116610LN for instance? I get that it boils down to personal preference. I personally am not a fan of the new SD. I love my 16600 and 14600. Has no date and looks classic to me. I guess what it boils down to is that I had a conversation with a sales guy today at another AD in the NE. I wanted to look at a 114060 and was basically talked out of it today. His position was if it didn't have a date, it wouldn't appear to others as a Rolex or wasn't a 'real' one. I laid my DT-C on the counter and said, This doesn't have a date, is this not real based on your explanation and may I please see the watch I asked about? He was perplexed for two reasons I imagine. One: He had never seen one in person, and how was it that I had one. In other words, a date signifies Rolex in his millennial eyes. I let him talk. I personally don't buy Rolex for what others think.
