Tag Heuer CAH1210.BA0862 wrist watches news:
Well, Christmas is coming, so I thought it would be fun to see what American made watches you guy's are looking forward to seeing under the tree.I still can't get enough of Benrus, even though I own about 30 of them now, so I'm looking foward to seeing another one under my tree this year. Hopefully I've been a good enough boy to deserve something in 14K, which would be my first. A chronometer like this would be extremely nice to receive -I own this exact same watch in SS that I got for a song. I was very lucky, because they are pretty rare. All it needs is a new crystal to make it nearly perfect. It's extremely accurate and looks great at 35mm. Now I need it in 14K to complete the set!:DSo anybody else looking forward to seeing an American watch under there tree this year?
The other shopping channel was selling this brand for a couple of hours. They had a couple of new models and a few solid gold pieces that looked cool. The size of these watches are the more traditonal 38 or 40mm and the price for the gold was 4 or 5 grand, so those two factors prevent me from considering them. But has anyone taken the plunge with this brand recently or would you? Do people even know about this brand? It is "pure" Swiss for those who care about such things. Or would those of you who have this kinda dough prefer to stick with Rolex and the rest of the usual suspects?

After the dust had settled, a number of records had been set, most notable among these being from the sale of a gold Longines wristwatch once owned by celebrated physicist Albert Einstein. The tonneau-shaped Longines watch, dating from 1931 and engraved with Einstein's name sold for $596,000, a figure which exceeded its pre-sale estimate by a staggering 2,000 percent. The sale represents a landmark for both Longines and watch auction history in general; it is both the highest price ever realized for a Longines watch, and the highest figure obtained for a simple time-only wristwatch. Regarding the Einstein Longines watch sale, Julian Schaerer, Antiquorum USA's Watch Expert & Auctioneer said, "We're delighted to see such an excellent outcome for our first auction of the season.
