Tag Heuer WAH1011.BT0717 wrist watches news:
Sent my LV off to Rik at Time Care Inc for a full service (been 5 years), and he did an amazing job. To replace the Bezel insert though I had to send it off to Rolex RSC (chose Dallas), because LV inserts are "only" replaced by Rolex...sooooo...about 8 weeks later it has returned to me I'm so happy that its back and VERY satified with the job that Rik did. On another note, I found RSC Dallas to be a true and absolute pleasure to deal with. Im glad that all the negative issues ive read from other Rolex owners with RSC never came to light.
This is a new model that was recently released in Japan. Thought it might interest some of you who yearned for the 300m Diver but stopped short because of the higher price tag. This one will set you poorer by just a little over $500+. Cheers!
I see tons of chronograph watches posted here but quite frankly, I don't see the appeal. Perhaps because I don't understand what the dials and features are used for or perhaps because I don't know when or if I would ever have a use for those features. They also seem to be much more expensive to pay for features I may not understand or use.I'm hoping somebody will take the time to discuss chronos in the following categories. 1) Function. What do they do? What activities benefit from having these features in a watch? 2) Appeal. Why do I want one? What shall I do with one? 3) Value. Why is it worth paying more? Will it hold it's value? Is it worth collecting chronos even if you will never use the features that define it's purpose?
Well I had my eyes on this one since the first time I saw a picture of it in one of the forums some months ago. I am not really a quartz watch guy but for some reason this model caught my attention and I really liked the overall look of this watch. So I had only to wait for it to surface on the watch sales forum for a price that was affordable for me, it became my Valentine present from my wife including the matching strap.Of course taste is taste and some might discount a watch like this from the start. I know because I did that for a while, I was simply turned off by the plasic case and black color and the fact that the earlier models looked more like small rubber tires on people's arms at least in my view. However after owning two Casio ProTrek Solar watches, I know that they are capable of good quality products and I am happy to say that I am not disappointed in the least. This is a fantastic watch. AndI did not even read all the specs which are a couple of pages longof course
Those that are into haute horogerie know that this game is very small so it is critical to always remain humble. One way or another the top guys are connected and they talk, a lot of these folks even lurk this very site and community we call TRF! Today I was presented with the opportunity to purchase the Jay-Z Royal Oak in SS which is limited to 50 pieces. There are four known pieces I am aware of... One is in Dubai, another is in Argentina, one is in Africa, and the other one is here in NY. I cannot discuss who opened their vault to me, however, what I saw today would make any AP collectors head spin. Truly a humbling experience! I will leave you with these pics while I ponder on my decision...
