Technomarine 110070 wrist watches news:
On Wednesday evening, Breguet kicked off its new sponsorship of New York’s Carnegie Hall, starting with the 2012-2013 season, with a grand gesture: the unveiling of a specially crafted Breguet tourbillon clock in Carnegie Hall’s Morse Lobby.?The unveiling of the clock ¡ª by Breguet U.S brand manager Michael Nelson, Carnegie Hall artistic director Clive Gillinson, and financier and Carnegie Hall board chairman Sandy Weill ¡ª took place prior to the opening-night gala benefit concert, which featured the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and music director Riccardo Muti, along with the Chicago Children’s Choir and soloists Rosa Feola, Antonio Giovanni and Audun Iversen. Breguet, which also sponsored the opening night gala dinner after the performance, has now become the official “Exclusive Timepiece” of Carnegie Hall. The dinner was held in the Grand Ballroom of the nearby Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. The clock, which is modeled on Breguet¡¯s original tourbillon timepiece des
This watch comes on a strap slightly used crocodile and is available for $1895, not a bad price for a great vintage looking IWC automatic movement. This watch is beautiful, no doubt about it. We are a little concerned that the face can have been presented, as we mentioned, substantially reducing the value of a vintage watch. The seller claims it is 100% original, and we have nothing that good things heard speak this particular seller, so we would like to think they are the truth.
My local watchmaker is pretty reasonably priced for overhauls,($165) but he takes ages (he had my last 3 watches for over 5 months!), and he doesn't appear to refinish the cases. I noticed one of my patients had a nice vintage gold Seamaster which looked brand-new, and he said that he just got it overhauled by another watchmaker. He then said something insulting about 'my' guy! In the meantime my wife's Mom gave me her deceased father's 60's era Seamaster and her deceased husband's 60's era Constellation. The granddad's Seamaster had been overhauled by my guy 10 years ago, but the Constellation probably 20 years ago. Anyway, I have taken them both to the 'new' guy for overhauls, since, being watches that my kids will inherit I want them to look brand-new again. The bad news - new guy is charging me $300 each, plus $200 each for new crowns, crystals, winding stems, and gaskets. Now, I understand additional charges for most of those items BUT shouldn't the $300 include at least t
Hey all,Though you may enjoy these pictures.. From the first step of stamping the block of stainless steel that'll eventually become a Breitling case, to the finishing touches & high-luster polish of the finished product...A Breitling case blank is 'stamped' out of a single block of stainless steel. In this picture you see the elaborate steps a case will go thru to form it into becoming a Breitling case. on a side view, a raw case blankAfter sanding, grinding & various steps, the semi-finished case has it's shape. The pusher seats are drilled, crown area ready, bezel seat prepped, and case is polished. It's ready to become a Breitling case. Finally it's polished to a mirror-like finish, fitted with the crystal, movement, bezel, crown & pushers and alas - the final product. Perfection! And finally, an army of cases.. Just waiting to be armed with their crystals, movements & bracelets. Ready to battle the rigors of daily life for years to come.Photo credits: Breitlin
