F.P.Journe’s Octa UTC is a GMT or two time zone watch that incorporates a patented system to indicate the second time zone using both a traditional second hour hand and an unconventional graphical representation of the Earth showing the 24 standard, full-hour time zones and taking into account summer and winter time. On the dial, the blue hour and minute hands (and the date) indicate the owner’s local time. Once the local time is set, the owner positions the second geographical region – indicated by the colorful globe – on “0” for winter hour. The gold hand, which makes one complete rotation every 24 hours, automatically positions itself at the corresponding time for this region. Atrexa
I'm new here, as you can see. I'm not a big collector but appreciate the engineering in a watch movement. I bought an 'Atrexa' off U.K. e-bay afew months ago, it's a '70s looking divers watch, in stainless with day date diplay on the RHS of the face and a bi-colour rotating bezel. Can anybody tell me anything about them, i've googled it but just get ladies dress watches, thanks in advance.

An Omega Story
Wonderful Early Christmas Present...I was just given an Omega X-33 by my closest friend (since first grade). It was his personal watch that he purchased through his Squadron at NAS Oceana (VFA-81). He's worn it in combat, as a Top Gun instructor, an F-18 Instructor, and an F-5 aggressor pilot. He recently left the Navy at the rank of Lt. Cmdr and has known for quite some time my affliction for all things watches and decided that I would be a great person to give the watch too. It needs a movement service (hopefully with an upgrade to the newest version) and new crystal but I told Omega to leave all the dings, scratches, etc alone as they are representative as the life this watch has lead. Needless to say I feel honored and blessed that he would give me this piece of Aviation, Naval, and friendship history to me.My X-33 has returned from Omega service. Third time is a charm
Just got a new PP 3 days ago. DavidSW was kind enough to get me the new one I wanted in a few weeks. I like it more than the world time or 5711, both awesome watches, which lasted only days. The moon phase is useful as it helps with the Islamic calendar months which are lunar too. Enjoying this and thanks for all the good reading and others opinions. Regards.
