- Thought long and hard about the brand and style I wanted. I am very happy with my choice. The black dial with the yellow accents really make the face pop. The band is very elegant but can still work with a casual attire. I am a guy and it is a little er than I expected, however it still fits my wrist nicely and has gotten me quite a few positive comments. Over all a very nice watch at a reasonable price.

Ulysse Nardin 353-66-7/314 wrist watches news:
The watch maketh the man, not his clothes. At least, that’s our line of thinking at HODINKEE. But sartorial choices have come under scrutiny this week. After entertaining the idea that watches could in fact be worn with a tuxedo (shocker, right?), we take a look at a new collection of tailor-inspired and tailor-made watches from Vacheron Constantin. 1 OF 12 Capitalizing on the resurgence of style, as defined by men who shop exclusively on Saville Row and have Pitti Uomo saved in their calendar for the next ten years, Vacheron Constantin have teamed up with the world’s oldest fabric manufacturer, Vitale Barberis Canonico, for a sartorial debut of sorts. 2 OF 12 3 OF 12 Unveiled this morning in Paris, on the opening day of the Journées Européenes des Métiers d’Arts (JEMA), the "Elegance Sartorial” collection faithfully re-creates famous woven patterns such as the Prince of Wales check, using the maison&r
This is for a few of our members who are getting the itch for vintage watches. I was watching this Jaeger LeCoultre on eBay last week:cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=170319886196It's a very good manual winding caliber 885. I have an 883 model #2285 with a crosshair dial being restored, and I'm always interested to see what similar watches sell for as part of the research on vintage pieces I keep. I want to see if anyone here can tell why it's NOT a NOS (new old stock) item as it was described. Here's a picture of it taken from the auction:and here's another similar watch that has it's true original dial:I realize the indices are not exactly the same, but that isn't the tip off. (HINT: it's one of the same things you look for on vintage Omegas) Keep in mind this is just for fun, partly educational, and partly a warning about the dangers of eBay. Okay, let the guessing begin!
Anybody wear their SMP on a Nato? I have the 2254.50 and was wondering how it would look. Any pictures?
getting a litle bit bored with my collection and after adding a 5980, been trying to find reason to get another Patek. I'm quite sure already that my red sub, AP ROO Ti, and the Patek chrono will be for keeps. I'm looking to flip a PAM194 subzilla and an IWC Ingeneiur 3227.What do you guys think? Would the aquanaut be a worthy addition (I know this is a Patek forum!)? Less is more, quality than quantity? Signs of getting old (over 40 now). I'm still inclined with sports watches though and these 4 watch rotation will keep me happy for the time being.Need help. Watch nut alert!
Hey I noticed the mov inside my panerai is a bit noisy compared to my other watches and some times i can feel the rotor spinning inside. is this normal for panerai watches? Also when i wind the watch my the crown it does not feel as smooth as my rolex lets say? it feels like a cheap watch would when you wind it kinda (not saying the panerai is cheap!!)I know these are noob questions but put my mind to rest!!Also in my 279 in the band they use push pins instead of set screws!! why o why!?!? for the money they should not be using push pins in the bracelet... it should always be set screws... what do you guys think of all this? any answers to all my questions?
