Tissot T048.427.27.057.00 wrist watches news:
Panerai just released a modern skeletonized watch (the Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 that you can read about here), but in addition have released a Luminor 1950 and Radiomir 1940 with a special chocolate dial that resembles the patinated radium dials that vintage Panerais are known for. 1 OF 4Luminor 1950 3 Days2 OF 4Radiomir 1940 3 Days Both the Radiomir 1940 (without crown guard) and Luminor 1950 (with crown guard) are made in steel with 47 mm cases. Each is made in a limited series of 1,000 pieces and features the updated P.3000 in-house movement. These watches are very traditional in their design but the dials are what make them really cool. Anyone have any pics of datejust with jubilee faces ?
If given the choice between the 5146g and the white gold saxonia ac, which would you choose? I believe they are similarly priced, and very close in size...
After much searching I finally hooked up with this watch, my first Panerai. It was purchased from seanlandaes a trusted seller on the forum. It's a Special Edition from 2000 and only 200 were made. Because of the age I had the watch shipped directly to the watchmaker I use for a complete service and I'm anxiously waiting for it to be finished.I've already bought some straps for it even though I really like the bracelet.I will post a wrist shot when I finally get the watch till then here you go....Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
My wife doesn't wear her 31mm DJ very much and today I put it in the winder in my safe. Before I put it in I decided to wind it and set the correct date and time. When I wound it I could feel it vibrating in my hand, very similar to a cell phone vibrating. It was tight, but has always been tight compared to my larger crown watches. I only gave it 5 or six turns to get it started and put it on the winder. I'm thinking the rotor is spinning with the winding action? I had the watch serviced in Oct 2014, and it hasn't seen a lot of use since then.Any thoughts?
