Lume Check!
I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's lume shots in one place, both custom and stock. So feel free to put them here.I started thinking about this when comparing the C3 Super Luminova to Lum-Tec's MDV lume. I've heard Glows like a torch, glows all night long, never dark, yada, yada.So I put them to the test. To illuminate and equalize the conditions, I put both models side by sideand used a UV flashlight on each, sitting on the crystal. First for 30 seconds each, then 10 seconds each, then 5 seconds each, then 1 second each, and then started the photo taking.The first Pic is a slow shutter snapshot of the Maratac and Lum-Tec Bull45 side by side. From this picture, the Bull45 seems a bit brighter.ranerejy.jpgSecondly, to test duration, I ran a 30 minute time lapse movie, again using the same illumination method to insure equal timeunder the lights, and found that both seemed to fade to nothingness by 30 minutes. panda + pam for a FC44...makes sense ???
I have an opportunity to acquire a FC 44, however this would require me to sell off my recently reacquired Panda and also a Panerai 88 plus possibly kick in a few dollars (not a significant amount). I have owned numerous AP's including both the steel 44 and the RG 44 at certain points in my watch journeys but moved both pieces for similar but diffrent reasons. The steel was lovely but was heavy, gave me trouble and simply did not work well, the gold was awesome but attracted a lot of attention and I simply wasn't comfortable wearing the piece and I traded down to a brand new RG ROC which I love and am keeping. I'm thinking the FC 44 would be easy to wear due to the weight (I had a Bee at one point so am familiar with the FC feel) and would make a nice complement to the RG ROC that I have. I would miss the Panda as it has a great wrist presence especially on the F1 strap I have with it and the bracelet which it came on. The Panerai is a good daily wearer for me I and enjoy the flex

Changing Dial from Black to White
I really want a PP 5085 with a white dial. I just can¡¯t find one anywhere.So, I am considering changing the dial from black to white after I buy one.I have no idea where to start. Is it possible? Is it sensible? Is it costly? Should I just keep looking? Should I learn to like the black dial?Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received.TIA
